3.4 PRESSURE HULL INTEGRITY TESTING RESULTS

The titanium-composite alloy specimens subjected to simulated deep-sea pressure conditions (Test Series 89-B) have demonstrated promising results. Specimens maintained structural integrity at depths exceeding 950 meters with minimal deformation patterns observed.

Key Findings:

• Maximum hull integrity maintained at 973m depth (9.73 MPa)
• Microfracture formation observed at 1,020m (delayed onset compared to previous material composites)
• Welding point stress distribution remains within acceptable parameters (0.89 safety factor)

Further modifications to the alloy composition are recommended, specifically increasing molybdenum content by 0.8% to improve performance at greater depths while maintaining radiation shielding properties.
