The first death was horrible, the second was also bad, then a domino effect spread across Orbis, possibly causing the dreaded end of rp...

HELLO INTERNET AND WELCOME TO P&W THEORY!!!! WHERE WE LOOK INTO THE BAD, AND THE EVEN WORSE!!!!!!!

So as most of you know right now, many legendary nations such as Luna and Communist Britain have left the RP community. Today we will take a look into why these nations are leaving, and what started it. So sit back and relax, and eat some popcorn, because you're in for a wild ride...

Pre-War Era (late 2080s)

We start out in our pre-war era, where the RP community was doing extremely well. RP was at one of it's few times of peace and agreement. During this time many nations were making great bulletins, and the population of RP nations was perfect, one reason for that was some nations started to post less and less, eventually becoming more and more irrelevant, some of those nations included Bedland Order, Hunton, Icenia, and New Smithsonia. Another reason for more peace was that Japanese Isles, a well known nation, went on a long break, this prevented a possible world war, as there were disputes between Japanese Isles, The Melon, and GW. It seemed like an ever lasting peace, but then, GW spies found out that Red Bloc and ISP were possibly going to declare war on them, so GW being GW declared war on Red Bloc and ISP, breaking the peace...

The Great War (2089-2090

The reason I am calling this the Great War, is that 4 alliances fought in this war, GW and A&SPA vs ISP and Red Bloc. GW also declared war on 2 of its members, so that's cool. The war was a decently long World War, and the winning side kept going back and forth. But this war was very controversial, with nations such as Communist Britain and The Melon posting rants on it and the treaties. Some nations nearly quit because of it, but soon enough, the war was over...

The Domino Effect of Leaving (Early 2090s)

After the war things started to quiet down for a couple of weeks, but then something happened between Iberia and UKM. I am not exactly sure what happened at that time because I was offline, but it was bad enough to where it made the well known and legendary nation of Luna leave RP. This shocked the world and provoked the nation of UKM to leave, the something shocking happened, Dreamistan announced that the Nation of Guoryou would return to RP. To newer nations this would mean nothing, but to old nations this was a shock. You see the nation of Guoryou was hated by many in the RP community, the reason for that was he made some...interesting-- past remarks, those remarks got him banned, twice. This further provoked UKM and Communist Britian to leave, which they did. It was a domino effect from there with Sanctias, Sedrosia, and Tibet all leaving. Though Sedrosia announced he was just going on a long break. Aragolia, Chittagong State, and Lunoria then left. Then Holy American Empire and Amerlca left. And that is nations who have so far left...

Aftermath (2090s--)

More nations may leave. But there is a little bit of good in this. Now, newer players can get to become relevant, and new alliances can be born. But will this be the end of RP? Will the world news only be filled with 3 year olds posting stuff about crappy civil wars?? No, I do not think this the end of RP, but as you know

THAT IS ONLY A THEORY! A P&W THEORY!!!!

AND CUT!

This isn't the end.

The deaths have come to a halt and nations on Orbis are reserving land for the newcomers.

We might have a population boom, who knows.

I mean I kinda see what you’re saying Rodevs but at the same time the awesome atmosphere that some RP members have brought is just disappearing over night. I mean I‘ve contributed very little to the RP community over the years so when I finally published my RP leaving bulletin it didn’t really shock Orbis or anything, more of a statement if you ask me. However, so many great nations have left that at this point the damage to the future community will just be miserable. Like I said in my bulletin I honestly think some sort of purge by the community or developers is needed. After which we can come back and create a worthwhile community from the ashes.

But no seriously yeah the deal with Orbis rp is that it's done by those of us who have too much time on our hands. And less of us have too much time on our hands, because of growing up, life drama, whatnot. I personally haven't left, but it's damn attractive sometimes. I have more responsibilities now. When I started my nation, I was starting off my senior year to be able to have fun in my schools computer rooms in a way that wouldn't be caught or recognized easily as a game during my free time. Now, I have to take care of my 2 siblings more and more as increasingly my older family have to watch themselves, while also balancing college, at which point I project I should be able to graduate with a bachelor's degree in only 2 more years. While the pace is not bad, my standards are. I am lucky enough to be going to college on a merit scholarship, so I need to keep my grades above a certain point or else my school will stop paying for mt attendance. See, my circumstances at least give me a chance of the prospect at being debt-free when I graduate. Fellow Americans, who the hell wouldn't take that??? Regardless, writing for my nation has genuinely been enjoyable and let me go creatively, so I don't want to let it go, not unless I absolutely have to. I might surely have to take breaks to let my real life get in order and let myself develop further, but I don't expect to leave for the time being. I'm sure others feel like me, others having less tolerance for Orbis's problems. And that's fine.

I don't believe Rp will die out

  1. New Players will come to rp
  2. Resilience of some of the current Roleplayers
  3. Possible return of others

Rather I believe that Rp might get more peaceful (for a short time)

Look, I am leaving for a different reason actually. Although the sad state of roleplay does matter, but my primary reason is studies. I have already told this but studies in India matter. If you score below 90, you are considered a failure and fail to get into some good college.

Rp is cyclical. Every summer, the old rping nations die out, and the new are ushered in. It's like clockwork.
