One hundred days later...

A bit late, but oh well...

On November 30th, 2022, The Aequitas International was founded as an official alliance.

To be entirely honest, we got off to a rocky start. We were raided repeatedly, eventually falling from three members to two as we struggled to find an alliance open to treaties, especially considering that, at that time, we did not have a Discord server or any members who even had Discord.

It was at that point that we got all the predictions of our downfall — that we'd last two weeks at most, that we'd be gone by Christmas; everyone had their doubts in our survival.

But here we are now, one hundred days later, as we keep growing and keep thriving, no matter what the predictions said all that time ago!

One hundred days later, we have 23 members. We're preparing for our first leadership election. We've reached the top 90 of all alliances in Orbis.

Now, of course, it's been a lot more than a hundred days if you take into consideration the time put into planning everything out for this alliance, and this couldn't possibly be complete without mentioning the amount of effort that two people put into this, long before its creation. I can recall bulletins about Project Aequitas by Maximus Democraticus of Novaya Rimskaya Respublika and RoManic of Vulcanities long before I was even involved. So, I'd like to extend a personal thanks to both of them for making all of this possible.

And to our members, our officers, our leaders, our allies — the beginnings were difficult, but we persevered, and now here we are, stronger than we've ever been!

So to those of you who predicted our downfall: what do you think now? We made it through the dark times, we made it to the point where we are today, and we will keep on getting stronger.

To victory!

Tbh I still believe discord is important, but I appreciate your struggles and wish a very good luck. Good luck aqueitas (idk if the spelling is correct).

You guys have proven you can survive

But as New Olyzstyn said, that doesn't mean you are competent

You can promise free money and use advertisements and watch your members balloon.

Tbh Your alliance has a lot of potential and a unique community that has definitely helped in keeping it alive.

I'm not in your alliance so I would never fully know but from the looks if it you guys are lagging behind in the econ and IA departments.

I'd love to have more info on your alliance including tax rate.

You guys are definitely better than most alliances forged out of bulletins (cough cough USSR, cough cough)

Edit: nvm I just saw your new bulletin

@Nukey I actually entirely forgot about the food prices being a part of the original alliance- we just haven't really been doing that at all (plus I'm a raider, so personally, I really don't mind high prices)

@Dauchh Palki Well, we certainly have had some IA and Econ struggles, but we're optimistic that it'll get better, especially after this upcoming election. Tax rate is something we've been discussing, but right now it's dependent on a nation's city count.

In terms of food prices I think we’ve come to the realization that we have to play the long game first. Once we become a top alliance and start to accumulate a large amount of resources we can start to think about how we can use that influence for good. Right now we don’t really have an influence on the global scale. We are certainly not a micro but definitely not a macro. We are stuck in that middle place but new policies that we are aiming to accomplish will change all that.
