Economic fall

Following the destruction of the Soviet Federation to the hands of 600 nuclear warheads from The United Imperium and most of the Americas also being hit by 300 warheads, another economic recession begins. The Belarusian economy and the Belarusian stock markets heavily relied on the American economy, and the large export sector of the nation, has caused a major shockwave over the nation. The economic recession in Belarus has further been fueled with the fall of Vitebsk, a major industrial city in Eastern Belarus which was hit by radiation. Unemployment is up 20% as factories have begun to lay off large numbers of workers, and many farmers have begun to move to larger cities as radiation begins to affect farmlife. This has caused food prices to rise and rent prices to go even higher.

Due to this, millions have begun to immigrate to other nations, with high numbers running to the UK, Serdosia, Canada, Poland, the Netherlands, and Australia, with over 200,000 people immigrating out just in the last 3 weeks. Russian refugees have also been arriving in Belarus, taking low paying, hard labour jobs.

Nuclear radiation in Eastern Belarus

Radiation from the Soviet Federation has split in Belarus. Thanks to wind patterns and notice from both the Soviets and the Americans beforehand, much of the East was evacuated, but much of the farm life and livestock has perished. As mentioned before, the city of Vitebsk, a large industrial city, had most citizens removed beforehand and put safely in nuclear bunkers 20 miles away from the city. Using the 10 billion OBD given to Belarus by the Serdosian Empire, and money given to from other nations and charities, top tier Spanish, British and Serdosian scientists have been called in to lead a large-scale decontamination effort.

Over 20,000 sq miles of soil has already been removed, and much of the infrastructure in Vitebsk and neighbouring towns and villages, however the leading scientist, Dr. Llorençe Jimenez of the university of Madrid has stated that the operation will be slow and tedious, and the full decontamination of radiation particles will take years to start, especially with the amount of hilly farmland there is. Further efforts on trying to make Eastern Belarus safe again are commencing, and support from the Slavic Federation and its treasury/safe fund are commonly being used by all member states to help Eastern Europe rebuild.

The Carski court has now been, temporarily, been split into ‘the British Carski court’, as over half of the courtiers ran to Serdosia, with the other half and the Tsar running to England. For this, and for new laws to pass and for the Tsar to remain safe, a lower form of the Carski court, nicknamed the British-Belarusian Carski Court or the British Carski Court, has been formed near Westminster, London and comprises of 12 of the most loyal of the Tsars advisers. These include, Grand Prince of Lithuania Branislaǔ Mindaugas, Ecumenical Patriarch of Minsk, Ecumenical Patriarch Tsypryjan Statkievič, Tsarevich Romanov II, Gospodin (lord) Fedor Romanov-Alekseyevich, Field Marshal Kazimir Rasolka, Governor-General Count Tsimon, Marquees Mâldus Zair and surprisingly, Chancellor Lord Ivan Aleksandras Ruslograd II. They meet in New Winston Manor every week to discuss what to do.

Slavic Federation

We, the people of the Tsardom of Belarus, are proud members of the Slavic Federation. A newly established union between a number of Eastern European/Slavic nations, including Belarus itself, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and the Serdosian Empire.

Laws

  • A new law recently passed within the Carski court states that all men from Year 7 till Year 11 (11-16) will be teached laws on how to maintain, use and safety features of a gun. The age to buy a gun legally is now 16. The same law now makes it official by law to have at least 2 small arms and 1 larger gun in the household at all times. If one can not afford to do that, .20 1911s will be handed out in safe points made for the refugees. All weapons are all allowed apart from military grade, however large arms are now allowed to be carried in public spaces.
  • New laws suggest that families not in bunkers are set to leave the country, or have large amounts of food, water and any other essentials stockpiled up.
  • New military uniforms are to be made to better equip soldiers for radioactivity
  • Ban of foreign goods, especially those of Russia, Chinese, Korean, Nebelystani, Japanese or Kazakhstani to be imported into the nation. Tighter restrictions on all other foreign good being imported in.
