      It started after the de-centralization of the Japanese government in the late 2060s with Haruto Taji bringing a battalion to Kyoto and establishing a small stratocratic government in the city. Later when the Nihonian government mostly centralized Japan, Haruto Taji's Kyoto was allowed to exist in a pre-balkanization Hong Kong way.  However, as the nations of the Final Antiquity collapsed one by one, the people of Japan were alone once again. Out of desperation to preserve the land of the Rising Sun, the nation was ultimately reincarnated into a sublime society that revered its traditions. However, this too, did not last. After constant war and famine have exhausted the technologically advanced people of Nihonia, Japan as a country would never be unified ever again. The Second Edo period began and ended, heralding hell and highwaters for the Nihonian people, but even then they still found a way to fall back apart. Now, with the nation reunified, the Ajako Period will begin.
