stay mad haters
Austria, after long debates in parliament, has finally removed the old anti-LGBTQ laws imposed on it by the fascists of Germany and Iberia.
These laws prevented displays of affection by members of the same sexuality in public, the surgical process of biologically changing your reproductive organs and adoption of children with two parents of the same sexulaity.
This has been met with great joy from the LGBTQ+ community and even members of the church, such as Archbishop Christopher von Linden, the highest member of the Christian Church of Austria. He stated "As God accepts his children as they are, so do we. It is not our mission to spread hatred towards those who think, live and love differently but to spread the love and support of God to all who accept him as theirs.
Far right newspapers and many members of the church have called this a publicity stunt to make the media look away from Austrians being conscripted while some attacks on SPÖ politicians have been conducted close to the end of the voting season. President Andreas Kollspick has publicly given his support for the LGBTQ+ community multiple times over the presidency, this legislation only further expanding it. He stated "(...) as for the LGBTQ+ vote, we are more than confident that our friends and family members in it will soon be able to call Austria their home."
