In a relatively controversial move, the Congo has struck a deal with the radiation affected and poor Republic of Donbass, the successor state to the Soviet Federation, where a majority of Donbassian factories and industries move to the Congo, utilising poor conditions and cheap, yet reliable and skillful, labour. With a majority of the factories producing military surplus and needed essentials for the populus. 

While the nation has always seen the Soviet sphere of influence and the UEC as enemies, as has tried to stray away from the Soviet successor states, Donbass, both nation have seen this agreement, nicknamed the Durian agreement, as mutually beneficial, and allows for Dobass to receive its military surplus and for the Congo to get jobs, further improving the economy. 

Factories are mostly cheaply made and ‘under government quality checks’ and workers, mainly all black, many women and children, have begun to work in the factories with paychecks as low as 0.16 OBD a week. Nevertheless, production is quick and steady fast. To make the deal fair, Donbass has stated that  70% discount off military items and a 60% on civilian items will be used for the Congo.  

Furthermore, Minister of Defence Sir Rupert Davenport, stated that the nation will have a ‘neutral’ stance on the recent escalating tension between Ukraine and Donbass, however is willing to fight if either the ITPA or the AU needs to. 

Transvaal Republiek joins the Loyalist Pack

The Transvaal Republiek, a powerful Boer nation in South Africa, has been formed and has joined the Loyalist Pact with the Congo and Madagascar. 

The Loyalist pact is a war and trade ‘friendship agreement’ in which all member states agree to free trade and MDoAPs. Transvaal will be a powerful and useful asset to it.

Kingsley Prison Camps 

Spearheaded by Secretary of State and Minister of Propaganda Lord Anton Kingsley I, the Kingsley Prison camps are labour camp styled prisons in which prisoners will be forced to hard labour jobs on behalf of the government, for example mining, building or agriculture. The government's new ideology of  ‘work until freedom’ has been implemented, and many hundreds of thousands of prisoners have been moved to these camps.

With harsh punishments, and even harsher jobs and conditions, the Kingsley camps have proved to be a success as thousands of men begin to enter diamond mines.
