PRESIDENT HAYES ANNOUNCES HOSTILITY TO NEW BERMUDAS
April 10, 2099
Amid a recent wave of false land claims by the pseudo-nation known as New Bermudas, the Senate has approved a new policy that would allow naval vessels to attack ANY New Bermudan ship, military or otherwise, if spotted in international waters. All New Bermudan ships, especially military ones, will be assumed to be involved in the claiming of land that does not belong to them and will be met with whatever force is deemed necessary to prevent them from taking this land.
President Hayes stated that military vessels would be annihilated on sight, while civilian ships would be boarded, their cargo dumped, and then ordered to return to New Bermudas territory. He also announced that ships of the Imperial Navy, specifically a detachment of corvettes, frigates and a single destroyer would be taking up positions in major Bermudan trade routes and other areas in international waters where their ships are known to congregate.
President Hayes stated that he hopes both Scotland and the British Empire will take the steps required to neutralize the feral beast they harbor within the British Isles by any means necessary. As of the printing of this newspaper, the first Bermudan ship has already been attacked, a merchant container ship holding over 2 million OBD worth of goods. A detachment of Imperial Marines boarded the ship on April 9th at 11:37 AM local time and dumped all of the onboard cargo before ordering the crew to return to the ports in New Bermudas.
Although the strategy is considered controversial by some, it has been deemed necessary to control the Bermudas. More on the story as it develops.
ATLANTIC UNION RECLAIMS RAPTURE PROJECT, BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON UNDERWATER BASE
The long-abandoned Rapture project, created by Dagger Company in an attempt to make an underwater city, has been reclaimed by the Atlantic Union following a bill being passed. The city will now be an underwater base/research lab situated 50 meters underwater. It will be approximately the size of a decent-sized office building, and allow the AU to experiment with new technology and weapons in a secure environment.
As of now, the AU has deployed construction crews to begin work on the base, which may branch out over time if needed. The AU Council has allotted 30 billion in funding (for now) to the construction efforts, and expects the project to be completed by 2102.
The base will be protected by a complement of 300 AU Marines with underwater combat training, outfitted with the latest underwater firearms (UWAR-1 Underwater Assault Rifle, etc.) and other weapons for use both inside and outside of the building. As well as this, 2 or 3 ships will be posted in the waters surrounding the entrance lighthouse at all times, and a locally stationed fighter squadron will provide air coverage, as well as two AA turrets on the lighthouse. A torpedo net will also be in use.

One wonder why they hated this Dagger Company.
Just know, you've disrupted my commerce travel rotes now cruise ships can't go in and out.
They can go to Scottish ports.
Woah. Uncool dude.
I don’t agree that anyone should claim other people’s land, but this is too far.
This new doctrine of yours is utterly unnecessary and irresponsible. For the sake of peace and diplomacy, you should retract it.
Hmmm, good idea, Glasgow & Edinburgh will be busy the following morning but, where are the tourists going?
A lot of rising tensions currently.
If any of their commercial ships are fired upon, I will get involved. I will also get involved if you enter British maritime borders (including scotia and new bermudas).
New bermudas hasn't even done anything worthy of such a response. Since the last land incident, he hasn't actually done anything wrong.
