The Governorate of the Congo, also called the Central African Governorate or simply the Congo, is a nation in Central Africa bordering the British Empire, the APSA Protected Territories, the Serdosian Empire, the United Pig Empire, Cruzeiro, and the Kingdom of Threse. It has a population of 104.98 million people and a land area of 2.687 million km² and has a capital of Léopoldville which itself has a population of 18 million and is a very developed nation thanks to British colonial development. The government of the Congo is made up of ex-British, Belgian, French and Dutch white European colonialists. The current Governor-General is Sir Andrew Bartholomew Watson, an ex-British bureaucrat and military officer in the region. The nation also recognises the British King as a sovereign ruler.

Sir Watson was born in a rich, semi-royal, white family in Chichester, England to Sir Cecil Bartholomew Watson, a civil servant in both Dreamistani Somalia and British Chad. Andrew would attend a number of private schools and homeschooling for much of his younger life before attending Eton and later Cambridge university. He joined the armed forces as an army officer and was put in place in British Congo, where he would lead a number of successful raids and attacks on Congonesse separatists and rose through the ranks becoming a Major General during the Iron Pakt war. He has fought in a number of successful British wars such as the invasion of Zullimanistan, the Uchamanese war and the GW-Red bloc war. Sir Watson is a known British loyalist and far-right conservative, and has shown some support to the growing British Nationalist Party however has shown some sympathy for minority groups, especially that of Eastern European or British colonial immigrants. He has turned Congo into a nation run by European colonialists, major companies seeking to profit off the resources of the Congo and the white aristocracy in the Congo. He has also modernised the armed forces.

The GOC has a British-style parliament, however is mostly ceremonial and the nation really has no set political party. It chooses who becomes the next Governor-General

The British monarchy is also the monarch of the GOC.

A majority of the people work in agriculture harvesting coffee, palm oil, rubber, cotton, tobacco, sugar, tea, and cocoa, however both forestry and fishing are also up there. Most people live in a small, remote, villages, often in small, soil or mud built huts however thanks to British development in the region, much of the nation has began to move to the capital Léopoldville (Kinshasa, pop: 18 million) and Élisabethville (Lubumbashi, pop: 9.5 million) to find work and a more stable life. The biggest industry in the nation is the large mining industry, with the nation having large deposits of cobalt and copper as well as diamond, tantalum, tin, gold, as well as its arable land. Many foreign countries, primarily the British,  operate in the GOC. The nation has a capitalist form of government, with light tints of welfarism. The nation has a GDP of around 450 billion OBD, however is quickly growing.

The white minority have an upperhand over the black majority due to a number of laws and regulations and much of the white minority are seen as ‘aristocrats’ and many are of British, Belgian, French, German or even Dutch descent. Only a white man is allowed to become the Governor-General and it is extremely hard for a native person to elevate themselves to anything higher than lower middle-class. Much of the black people in the nation still follow their own culture and traditions, the government even allowing them to follow their own religion, however Protestantism being an endorsed faith.

The Congolese Armed Forces, also called His Majesties Congolese Army or the The Royal Governorates Army, is a professionally trained and well equipped army numbering just under 150,000 active men. It is split into 2 categories. The bigger force known as the ‘Armée du gouverneur’ numbers 100,000 and are more under equipped and under experienced soldiers, while the smaller, but better equipped, better experienced and overall better men are a part of what is called the ‘Force des rois’ and numbers some 50,000. The Governor-General is 2nd head of the army, with the first being ex-British 5-star General, Field Marshal Sir Victor Barrett, who has been in an effort to modernise the army. The air force, while small, its professionally trained and relatively well equipped. The navy is very small, and only has a few patrol boats and a few small, old, destroyer.
