Liberating the North Atlantic: Declaration of War on Mundus

In the course of human events, we often find ourselves called upon to meet commitments. In this case, we have been called upon to defend Luna against the terrorists of Mundus. In this, we will not fail. Time and again we have been called upon to defend ourselves and our allies. We will respond once again. Decisive force will be levied upon the Mundusians. And this time, there will be no ceasefire. There will be no armistice. Mundus is a fundamental threat to peace in the Atlantic, and they will be disarmed by any means necessary. 

The Homeland Theater Command will be sending 75,000 troops and an appropriately sized armored contingent into the North American holdings of Mundusia. Before this happens, a fleet contingent of 50 ships will establish Naval Superiority on the Eastern Seaboard, ensuring the isolation of the Mundusian war machine from their North American holdings. Around 500 aircraft of the United Imperium are establishing Combat Air Patrol flights and conducting suppression of enemy air defenses, making sure to capture decisive air dominance against the Mundusians.

The Imperium European Theater Command will send 50 more ships to cut off the GIUK gap, so as to cut off Mundusian soldiers from resupply by way of the base on Franz Josef Island. Imperium European Theater Command aircraft will also establish combat air patrol over the gap. Whatever Mundusian forces are already in Greenland? They will be isolated, and they will be alone. 

Of course, aside from the establishment of naval and air superiority across the Atlantic, there are also many other facets to the combat plan. Missile strikes will be carried out on Mundusian military installations in Franz Josef, North America, and their FOBs in Greenland. EMP strikes will be carried out in Mundusian North American holdings. Preliminary airstrikes and missile strikes will target C3 and early warning modules in both North America and in Greenland, making sure to cut off the eyes and ears of the enemy.

A larger task force is being prepared for an actual incursion into Greenland. In the coming days, that task force will set off for phase two. But for now, these are the first combat actions of the United Imperium in the liberation of Luna from Mundusian terror.
