Integration of Overseas Territories:

Amsterdam | 30-12-2093.

The Dutch government has long been divided over the issue of the future of Dutch overseas territories. There has been peaceful pressure from foreign nations to abandon the Dutch speaking population of these territories. President Stegehuis initially laughed at this pressure, as this anti colonialist nation holds a colony in Africa itself. We laughed and laughed at the idea of the South American Dutch speakers should get "self determination" (become a colony of the anti colonialists) while the Portuguese speaking Africans can go stick that principle where the sun don't shine. After receiving and carefully reading through some of the words of this anti colonialist with a colony though, President Stegehuis has decided to take some advice by this nation to heart.

The Cruzeiro Government said: "It still suggests that the European metropole of the Netherlands is colonizing Suriname and being the parent-state of it, and not making it part of its core/mainland at all, which translates to not giving the Surinamese people rights and equal status."

And because the hypocrite club can't seem to wrap their heads around the fact that you can treat people like your own countrymen without having to force them to become part of a different nation fully, our President decided to lift the Protected Territory status from Suriname and the DCH, so they will be annexed fully and permanently. Today we celebrate the permanent expansion of the Dutch Republic.

President Stegehuis Adresses the People:

Amsterdam | 01-01-2094.

At exactly 12:00AM on January 1st, President Stegehuis stepped out on the balcony of Paleis Zeezicht, to speak to the gathered mass of people. The speech would also be televised so all the people could see it.

"Dutch citizens, both old and new. Our Republic stretches from the Netherlands to China, from Belgium to Suriname. It is larger than it has ever been, and we're only growing in strength. While some people can't seem to grip the idea that all of you are equal humans, you yourself know that you are. You have been created equal, and are treated equal in the eyes of the law. That's the way it was, that's the way it will be.

The future is uncertain, but not scary. We know that the situation in the world evolves constantly, and nations can't seem to have peace for 5 seconds, but the German Federation and Dutch republic stand strong. We are going to invest a lot in expansion of all branches of the military. The NGL, NLL and NLM will all see massive expansion, but we won't forget you, the people. We are beginning construction on railways, roads, ports and airports in Suriname and we will also construct housing from government money. Together we will eliminate homelessness and unemployment in all of our territories.

Thank you."

The President stepped back inside as the crowd went wild, support of this President was at an all time high and it seems like that choosing the military party wasn't such a bad choice after all.

Improving Relations with the Ajako Confederation:

Paramaribo | 01-01-2094.

As stated by the Ajakon news sources. Japanese troops and ships have arrived in Suriname for training alongside the Dutch forces there. This is a great step towards improvement of relations of the Ajako Confederation. In addition to these troop movements and shared training excersises, the Dutch have also purchased 2 naval strike groups from the Ajakon Navy. These will soon arrive in Dutch hands, and Ajakon mechanics will teach us on how to maintain the ships.

Hokkaido Cruiser Strike Group - 9 ships: 1 Miyagi class heavy GL/mC, 2 Mizu class frigates, 3 Shachi class destroyers, 3 JI-300 submarines.
Tochigi Cruiser Strike Group - 9 ships: 1 Miyagi class heavy GL/mC, 2 Mizu class frigates, 3 Shachi class destroyers, 3 JI-300 submarines.

President Stegehuis has thanked the Ajako Confederation, and said it was a pleasure doing business with the country. He keeps all channels open to further improve relations in the near future.
