At long last- here we have it! The 2081 edition of the Orbis Livability Index!

I’ve been asked about when this will be coming out for a little while now; I’ve primarily focused on the nations who are currently active in bulletins as opposed to those who were major players in RP in 2079 when I made the first one. I'm sure I missed people, though, so please let me know if I did.

I was inspired by Dauchh Palki on this one: I’ve also calculated the average Orbis livability score to see how it compares to how it was in 2079 (all nations are counted, regardless of whether or not they were included in the 2079 O.L.I., but this is simply taking the average). The results show a decrease of 7.763 in average Orbis livability scores, meaning that Orbis is less livable as compared to how it was in 2079 -- a decrease was expected due to the Collapse, but the extent of this decrease potentially shows other factors at hand as well.

2079 Average Livability Score: 40.963 | 27 nations

2081 Average Livability Score: 33.2 | 15 nations (more to come; averages will be recalculated)

The scores for categories 1 and 2 (environmental and economic categories) were based on both looking at cities and national statistics (for pollution rates, nukes eaten, commerce and resource production levels, etc.) and at governmental policies in terms of pollution and alternate energy sources, economic policies and recent events such as the Collapse or other events that could affect these categories. Categories 3-5 were based on bulletins and communications from each nation.

As always, if you’d like to be added or if anything is inaccurate or outdated, please let me know and I can change it or add you! If I marked something as unclear, please clarify and I can change your score. I'll be updating the average every few days/whenever I add a lot of nations, just to ensure that it's accurate.

Categories:

Environment (pollution, radiation, disease rates, environmental protection policies, etc.)

Economic Status (GDP/GDP per capita, commerce and production rates, etc.)

Governmental stability

Human rights (stances on torture, capital punishment, etc. + potential violations of human rights)

Freedom of citizens (including religion, freedom of expression, voting rights, freedom of the press and more)

The scale:

ColorScoreDetails
🟩9-10Perfect or almost-perfect score in the category! (no current radiation damage, 0 or almost 0 disease/crime, etc.)
🟨5-8Some flaws in the category, but mostly okay (noticeable disease but no crime, some commerce and resource production, etc.)
🟥0-4

Clear issues in the category (highly unstable government, no rights for citizens, extremely high pollution, etc.)

This is also used in case of an event specific to some nations that would reduce points as an additional area.

I would hope that the United Republic of Greenland would get at least around 40 out of 50.

Cascadia executed at least 5 Canadian civilians and put a 1000 more in labor camps during the Pacific war.  So not sure about that no human rights abuse rating.

I'll add people next time I'm back on my computer (because adding people on mobile is... hard).

Chaos Insurgency, The Canadian Federation, Dauchh Palki, all inaccuracies have been fixed. R.M.R., sorry about that being highly biased, but I've fixed it — from an unbiased standpoint, what you did would count as a violation of human rights, but taking off 5.5 points for it was definitely too much, so it's been updated.
