Tsukamizu (掴水)

In the age when the mountains yet breathed and the rivers whispered to the stars, there rose a land — Tsukamizu.

Tsukamizu, known in the tongue of old as 「掴水」— He who grasps the waters — is a realm of solemn dignity and quiet power. Set amidst the shadowed peaks and meandering kawa (川), the land was carved not by sword alone, but by the will of the kami (神) and the hand of tradition.

Beneath the veil of mist and bloom of sakura (桜) trees, the people live by the code of bushidō (武士道) — the way of the blade and the soul. The bakufu (幕府), seat of the shōgun (将軍), rules not through command alone, but through ancient law, reverence, and the silent judgment of their forebears.

The samurai (侍), sworn to fealty and silence, are as the rivers — ever-flowing, ever-patient, and deadly in their stillness. With katana (刀) drawn only in duty, they strike with the weight of centuries.

Within the lantern-lit tera (寺) and moss-clad shrines, monks chant to the mizugami (水神) — spirits of the stream — and offer incense to the ashes of forgotten wars.
