Preparing for Alaska

In a shocking yet benign twist of fate, the military leadership of the Russian Provisional State has abandoned the nation. While this is likely to mark the end of organized military conflict in the Far North, the urgent matter of securing Alaska yet remains. Mere hours after the sudden abandonment, unrest has already begun to escalate in the region. As Cascadian forces continue to consolidate control of the southern third of Alaska, Imperium forces (who have recently just made their way into the region) will put in the work to stabilize the rest of Alaska. An extensive media campaign is being launched in the area in an effort to build public support for the Imperium as well as to reduce the threat of unrest. Furthermore, a massive humanitarian airlift and distribution operation is beginning in order to make sure the basic needs of the Alaskan people are being met, but also so that the Alaskan people have no reason to side with their now-absent previous rulers. The expectation is that around 40,000 troops from the Homeland Theater Command will be deployed in the long term to assist in combatting any potential insurgency threat and to keep humanitarian operations online for the next few years. However, expansive spending for humanitarian purposes in Alaska has led to more protests on the homefront, with a small riot breaking out in Cracked Opal. This is what President Regan had to say on the subject:

We expect that our efforts to convince the Alaskan people that we are the best option should be successful, if they do take some time. We believe that it is possible that the leadership of the Russian Provisional State could still be funding and directing guerrilla warfare operations against us, so we will continue to remain watchful and vigilant. As for the protests, we hear you. We see you. But we ask you to be patient. The economy doesn't need more government, but Alaska needs to be restored the American spirit. We will get through this. The times have been bad, but they have also been worse.

The War in Scotia

In the Raritan-Scotia War, the United Imperium has recognized that there is no choice but to defang the Scottish snake. With this, Imperium Theater Commands in region have been mobilized to carry out strikes against the enemy. These initial salvos have been declared to be a moderate success. The Imperium's superior training and technology led the way, as the United Imperium Air Combat Assets shot down over 90 Scottish aircraft, while sustaining only 14 losses in return. However, total air superiority was not yet established due to the presence of Surface-to-Air missiles blanketing Scottish airspace. Suppression of Enemy Air Defense strikes were combined with Wild Weasel operations for limited success, but airspace congestion made it difficult to achieve decisive results. In addition, cruise missile strikes managed to take out a major chunk of Scottish command and control infrastructure as well as radar/early warning installations.

Combat Air Patrol missions will continue, in an effort to maintain the air superiority that has been established. In addition, anti-radiation and SEAD operations will continue in an effort to wipe out the hostile SAM network and seize total air superiority. Next, cruise missile strikes will continue targeting enemy C2 and early warning infrastructure in an effort to blind the hostile forces. Cruise missiles and airstrike packages will also target hostile airfields, drydocks, and logistics hubs in order to limit the enemy's ability to rebuild their combat capabilities. The expectation is that by the end of the war, the Imperium will have fully crippled the Scottish war effort.

As I said in my OOC note, this cannot be voided, and you never retracted your declaration against Raritania in a bulletin.
