On the Question of Zukesa and the Russian Provisional State

Industrial Espionage. Civilian deaths. Territorial encroachment. These are a few of the words that define the growing conflict in the Far East. The aggression of the Russian Provisional State against our allies in Zukesa can no longer be ignored. The American people understand that a strong deterrence is necessary in order to maintain peace around the world. But for too long have we ignored the Bering Region. No longer. We will not ignore the mistakes of our past. In order to commence operations in Alaska and Siberia to aid the Zukesan people, the United Imperium will mobilize Homeland Theater Command (the largest of our theater commands by an extraordinary margin), and begin coalescing ground forces on the Alaskan border. In addition, we will be rerouting aircraft and naval contingents from the South American contingent toward the combat zone. Initial estimates indicate that we will be able to begin support operations for the Zukesans by the start of May, about a month from today. Our satellites have commenced intelligence-gathering operations on RPS positions in the region, and we are rebasing aircraft in the hopes that we can begin Combat Air Patrol and Suppression of Enemy Air Defense missions by the end of the week.

European Theater Command to Commence Airstrikes Against Scotia

The United Imperium was already preparing for combat actions against Scotia in Oceania, but was wholly unprepared for the Scottish declaration of war against Raritania. In response to the Scottish declaration of war, the United Imperium will be carrying out airstrikes and cyberattacks against Scottish military installations. The Imperium will be using a combination of satellite intelligence and its HUMINT assets on the ground to ensure minimal civilian casualties. Imperium Naval Ships will also begin sailing the international waters surrounding Scotland. Any Scottish combat assets that attempt to leave the region will be sunk or shot down. The Imperium has also launched Air Superiority and Wild Weasel Operations in order to ensure the Imperium's supremacy in Scottish airspace.

Anti-War Protests Erupt Across The United Imperium as Recession Continues

In response to the government increasing military operations whilst the nation struggles with recession, anti-war protests have erupted across the nation. This frustration comes with a growing movement within the Imperium which seeks to have the nation return to a more isolationist position. In addition, rising unemployment has been coupled with inflation due to the Fed printing more money. This has all led to the United Imperium's GDP dropping below the 20 trillion point for the first time since 2094. Perhaps most alarmingly, the government seems to be incapable of doing anything about it: President Regan's laissez-faire approach has backfired massively, and with unrest continuing to increase, it is important to keep an eye on the situation to see how it develops.
