I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I struck out to create the Hand of Fate. I was heartbroken by Eclipse - my home and where I truly earned to play the game - they didn't disband but they became really gay. I wanted to make something that wasn't gay, and I wanted to do that by turning HoF into one of the best fighting alliance the game had ever seen. Fortunately, I knew what I was doing. I stumbled through a series of good decisions all throughout 2021-2023 as leader of HoF. Praise God, though, that there were people there to pick up the alliance where I couldn't.

Velyni, Penpiko, Dryad, Horsecock, and Denison. Where my slightly naïve and half-experienced self was running this beautiful creation decently, they took it and remolded it. They formed the alliance into what I was competent enough to do myself- one of the best, independent fighting alliance that the game has ever seen. It is to them - and the well over sixty wonderful HoF members that has passed through these doors over the years - that whom all the glory should go to. 

We always did well in net damage no matter the circumstances. We took joy in the hard fights. We made memes and spammed emojis. When we militarized, people got scared. Our Crusades brought war to every corner of the game. We stole billions, blew up many billions more, and laughed all the way to the bank in the process. In a game where many are to scared to have fun, we had an absolute blast.

I'm not good at eulogies, but I think that's all there is to say. We've been around for 1 and a half years; specifically, 578 days. In that time, we've had fun (probably more fun than a lot of others have)! We rocked people's !@#$ when we wanted to or had to, and left our mark on the game's history... No, really! The wiki is filled with wars that we've started. 

We're at the end of an era, and it's time to close this chapter. One of our proudest achievements are the skills and experience we've collectively cultivated with the game's mechanics. As we pack up, and move on, we are taking those skills with us to use in future endeavors. Maybe, dear reader, we'll even be using those skills on you.
