With the support of the Italians, Zog proclaimed Albania as a monarchy, and became Zog I, King of the Albanians. The Kingdom of Albania flourished for the following 11 years. In 1939, however, the Italians betrayed our alliance, and issued an ultimatum, we must surrender to the Italians or face war. Our glorious king chose the right option, and defied the Duce. We have been steeled for invasion ever since.
