The Ceresian Flag(above):  The Phoenix with its flaming feathers of red on a bright sphere of orange and gold to symbolize the sun that appeared during the season of night that led the early settlers to the promised land. Red for the courage of the settlers who endured the harsh journey and for the blood that was shed during the journey, gold for the bountiful gold of the mountains and streams, Gold also of the richness of the culture and heritage of the Ceresian people, Blue for the rich Pacific Ocean and The Midnight sky for which the the Phoenix appeared radiantly and illuminated the way to the promised land.

National History, Origins, Lore:

Ceresia was originally settled by early Amateran pilgrims, who had been on a constant journey fleeing persecution for their religious beliefs, led by Aleksie Nielsen and the last surviving Clergy of the Church of Amatera, High Priestess Sayako Gushikuma after the Massacre in Whitmore village in the Republic of Hawai'i in which government forces rounded up all Priests and Priestesses of the Church of Amatera and locked them and a portion of their followers in Plantation warehouse and set it on fire during the crack down on all non Christian religions in the newly formed Republic.

Aleksie Nielsen and the 4 other great familes of the Church of Amatera: Nagano, Wong, Ka'ahunui, and Osborne, smuggled the High Priestess Gushikuma and what artifacts and sacred text they could, out of Hawai'i along with as many followers as they could bring. Thus began the Great Journey in search of the sacred promised land that was Prophesized by The Great Prophet His Holiness Rai Ryunosuke.

Religion

Amateranism, Amateran Faith, Church of Amatera

 Although Polytheistic and Henotheistic, there are 2 prime deities that are held above the rest, first and foremost is the Sun Goddess Amatera, also referred to as The Eternal Mother. Amatera has dominion over the Earth, the deities of the Earth, but also all living creatures of the earth. Through her blessing, does all life thrive on the Earthly plain. The other Prime deity is Tenchikane, otherwise known as The Heavenly Father, also Eternal Father. In hierarchy he is above Amatera, and he rules the heavens and the stars. He created the Stars and the Universe, and through holy communion and conception, Tenchikane And Amatera created the planets and the other deities and all creatures.
