National History, Origins, Lore:

Ceresia was originally settled by early Amateran pilgrims, who had been on a constant journey fleeing persecution for their religious beliefs, led by Aleksie Nielsen and the last surviving Clergy of the Church of Amatera, High Priestess Sayako Gushikuma after the Massacre in Whitmore village in the Republic of Hawai'i in which government forces rounded up all Priests and Priestesses of the Church of Amatera and locked them and a portion of their followers in Plantation warehouse and set it on fire during the crack down on all non Christian religions in the newly formed Republic.
Aleksie Nielsen and the 4 other great familes of the Church of Amatera: Nagano, Wong, Ka'ahunui, and Osborne, smuggled the High Priestess Gushikuma and what artifacts and sacred text they could, out of Hawai'i along with as many followers as they could bring. Thus began the Great Journey in search of the sacred promised land that was Prophesized by The Great Prophet His Holiness Rai Ryunosuke.

Although Polytheistic and Henotheistic, there are 2 prime deities that are held above the rest, first and foremost is the Sun Goddess Amatera, also referred to as The Eternal Mother. Amatera has dominion over the Earth, the deities of the Earth, but also all living creatures of the earth. Through her blessing, does all life thrive on the Earthly plain. The other Prime deity is Tenchikane, otherwise known as The Heavenly Father, also Eternal Father. In hierarchy he is above Amatera, and he rules the heavens and the stars. He created the Stars and the Universe, and through holy communion and conception, Tenchikane And Amatera created the planets and the other deities and all creatures.

Ceresia was founded in Orbis year 1897(Our time: 1948) by Aleksie Nielsen who was proclaimed King Aleksie I by the heads of the 5 noble families for his communion with the Eternal Mother Amatera who guided them thru his direction to this sacred promised land. He was later proclaimed Aleksie the Great when for his leadership in successfully defending the Colony from a large bandit commune which had considerable dominance in the region, and a powerful Extremist Christian Doomsday Cult commune in the East, thus further expanding the Kingdom's borders and expelling the aggressors who had for so long persecuted and troubled the Amateran Colony.
The history behind the original Amateran Colony began in the American Territory of Hawai'i, under the occupation of the United States of America. While a lot of records and history was lost to the events of the time, what is known is that The Path of Amatera was founded by a man who was only known by the early followers as Rai Ryunosuke. The Path of Amatera started to grow popular for a lot of the ethnically diverse population, particular the Native Hawaiians and a lot of the Asian Plantation workers, as the polytheistic beliefs and teachings, included a lot of ancient traditional dieties found in many of these ethnic cultures and rang with a lot of old traditionalists who felt their ways had been lost to Westernization and Christianity. Hawai'i, however was still predominantly a State heavily influenced by the teachings of the old Christian Missionaries, and the teachings of the Path of Amatera often came into conflict with the conservative Christian community. This often led to persecution and unjust treatment and fines levied against Amaterans.
After the complete collapse of the United States after a 3rd World war which leveled many old powerful nations, many states of the former United States suddenly became independent or formed unions with other states to survive. The Isolation of the former Territory of Hawaii, saw it emerge as a new Republic dominated by the Church and the Plantation owners who made up the elites of the territory. The Path of Amatera, by this time, had grown to establish its own Church, and was growing more popular among the poor and the plantation workers many of whom believed that their plight stemmed from the abandonment of the old ways for the ways of the Westerners and their religion.
As the new Republic of Hawai'i was established, the government wasted no time in consolidating it's power and targeting the threats to the societal and business establishment and elites who made up the government. Christianity was declared the official religion, and the government ordered the closure of Non-Christian temples and churches, and thus began a dark era of persecution for not just the Amaterans but the Buddhist, Taoists, Hindu, and so forth. Refusing to heed the order and despite the closure of the church, Rai Ryunosuke and the high priestess of the Order of Amatera, conducting a healing ritual at Whitmore Plantation village, to call upon the Divine Eternal Mother Amatera and the Gods for Healing, as the village had been beset by an outbreak of Bubonic Plague

Prior to the establishment of the Kingdom's Official Armed Forces approximately 1 year from the founding and proclamation of the Kingdom, The Defense of the Kingdom was carried out by volunteer Militias and 3 Militant arms of the Church of Amatera: the Order of the Sun Maidens(aka Maidens of the Sun), the Knights of the Phoenix, and the Order of the Black Fox.

These female warriors historically have primarily served as the protectors of the Temple and Church grounds, and as personal guards to the high ranking clergy and the Sovereign. During the Great Migration, these zealous female warriors have proven their mettle during the many conflicts that the pilgrims encountered during the Search for the Promised land and have proven to be more than just a Defensive Arm of the Church.
The Knights of the Phoenix
The second oldest militant Arm of the Church, these elite warriors are made up of devout men at arms and historically have served the same purpose and role as the Order of the Sun Maidens but primarily as shock arm of the Church. This order has since demilitarized

The most Secret Order of the 3 arms of the Church and the smallest, this order's supposed primary purpose historically had been infiltration and reconnaissance but has been also rumored to have been involved in several assassinations domestically and abroad. It has been rumored that they have been the personal spies and hitmen for the Sovereign, but Very little is known about this order. Frankly, these guys are just a conspiracy theory and do not exist. Or do they?

CMG M21A1(UKM-2000)

Initially the Royal Arms and Ordnance loved the original PKM design which was also submitted, but adoption would have meant that an entirely new cartridge would have to be adopted and mass produced and this would create logistical issues since Ceresian forces have been standardized on the 7.62x51mm NATO round for close to 65 years. Thus the Polish UKM-2000 presented the solution. A PKM machine gun that was made to utilize 7.62NATO and the M13 disintegrating belt links that are already in plentiful supply.
CR95A

Recently Adopted to Supplement the CR1A2C Carbine and the full length CR1A1 Battle Rifle. With modern conflicts seeing more action in heavily urbanized zones, this rifle was especially adopted alongside the CR1A2C, a specially modernized variant of the Venerable and reliable CR1A1 Battle rifle to serve in that field of conflict. The 7.62x39mm cartridge met the minimum standards of approval by the Army, retaining significant power and penetration, but without the problem of overpenetration especially in urban environments. This rifle is presently only utilized by Special Forces and for Specialized units deployed to heavily urban zones.

This is essentially a shortened and modernized version of the CR1A1 Rifle intended for use by Special Forces, but may also be issued to specialized units deployed to heavily urbanized areas.

The CR1A1 is a battle rifle initially based on the British pattern L1A1 SLR, except with the selective fire capability that the L1A1 rifles lacked. While Ceresian Troops are trained to utilize the full auto capability in an effective manner, it is seldom used as a greater emphasis is placed on marksmanship, but the full auto capability is retained as an option in emergency scenarios. Ceresian soldiers are also highly skilled with the use of the Bayonet. This rifle has served the Ceresian Armed forces for over 50 years and underwent very little changes, except for the addition of a rail system on the the receiver for the capability to attach optics.

Essentially a shorter version of the CR1A1 rifle with folding stock. Used primarily by Paratrooper and Special Forces Units, but also occasionally issued to helicopter pilots and vehicle crews.

Essentially a licensed copy of the British Sterling L2A3, this weapon also served the Ceresian Armed Forces for more than 50 years and underwent very little changes except the addition of a rail system for the attachment of optics and a side mounted rail system forward of the receiver for the attachment of a small flashlight. Also used by the National Police Force and Local city police forces.
CMG M69A2, 7.62x51mm NATO

The M69A2 is a General Purpose Machine Gun that was an Improved version of the M61 which was a Licensed production of the Stoner M69W machine gun. Improvements were made to make the gun more reliable and simple and an improved quick change barrel was added. Like the CR1A1 rifle, the M69A2has served the Ceresian military faithfully and reliably for over 50 years. Since 2015 the M69A2 has been upgraded to include a rail system for the attachment of optics.
CR1- ALR
Type: Battle Rifle, Semi Auto

Essentially an FN M49 rifle produced under license and officially adopted as the “Auto Loading Rifle, CR1” this was Ceresia’s first military rifle in Semi Automatic. Adopted in 1952, it was put into mass production and issued to all branches of the Ceresian Armed Forces until it was officially replaced by the CR1A1 Rifle. Initially issued with a detachable 10 round box magazine and all troops were trained to utilize 5 round stripper clips to load the rifle, this was eventually changed after production caught up and 10 round magazines were in plentiful supply and a surplus of them was amassed replacing the use of stripper clips in the field. After the adoption of the CR1A1, all CR1 rifles underwent modification to accept the inch pattern 20 and 30 round Box magazines of the CR1A1 to better facilitate interchangeability in conjunction with the regular armed forces. It remains in service with the Home Guard, kept in their armories or issued for take home by members of the Home Guard.

While primarily carried by the National Police Force and the Local City Metropolitan Police Forces, it remains as an Optional sidearm for the Ceresian Military and the primary sidearm for The Royal Military Police while on duty domestically. It is retained in service for its simplicity and reliability in nearly all environments and is a popular choice for carry by Pilots.

This revolver is essentially a Remanufactured British Webley Revolver chambered in .45 colt it is specifically issued to Officers along with the 1897 Infantry Sword(Army/Air Force) or the Naval Officer Sword upon Graduation of OCS or the at either Royal Military Academies. Traditionally at Graduation, the young officer graduate is presented his sword which he/she will affix to his belt, and then the pistol is presented in a wooden case with a box of ammunition and a certificate. While not typically carried in the field, Officers are authorized to do so.
