This bulletin ranks the nations of RP. It serves as a followup to TUI’s bulletin on the subject, but rather than ranking them by influence on the community, this ranks them by their power within the world of Orbis, as of mid-2099. In this sense it also serves as a followup to another bulletin, this time my own.

As such, the list is as follows

Honorable Mentions

For honorable mentions, I would like to include the following nations:

  • Transvaal
  • Luna
  • Lunoria

Transvaal is a powerful, dynamic, regional player, with potential to become the main power in Africa. However, Transvaal is still very new.

Luna is probably the main nation in the high Arctic, but due to some geographic and military factors misses out on the top 10. Definitely one of the most influential RPers of all time though (see TUI’s bulletin)

Lunoria inherits Russia, and all of its massive land and resources. However, Lunoria also inherits the utter and complete devastation that was wreaked across Russia during the Soviet-TUI nuclear exchange, which was far worse than the damage done to North America. Lunoria also has certain geographic disadvantages due to the loss of lands that separated from Russia during the war.

Now for the top 10

10- Republic of Greenland

The Republic of Greenland has earned a spot on this list not solely due to its own power, which is admittedly not much, but because of its diplomatic power. The masive web of relations the Republic of Greenland has woven around itself allows it to punch far above its weight class.

9- Raritania

Even nuked, Raritania is still powerful, not only due to its web of alliances, like Greenland, but due to its powerful navy, which survived the nuclear war more or less intact. Raritania established the American Union and leads the USA as the main North American power, and has substantial diplomatic influence.

8-Cruzeiro

Cruzeiro is a powerful nation, the most powerful, undisputably, in South America. Cruzeiro could definitely be higher but misses out on the top 5 because he generally doesn’t do foreign interaction (BTW: my first nuclear exchange was with cruzeiro, in 2093. Only 3 nukes were fired, all smaller than the one that hit Hiroshima, and no major cities were hit. A textbook example of tactical nukes used in an otherwise conventional conflict)

7- Areulia

Areulia is a pacific powerhouse, using its economy, influence, and naval power to control the South Pacific and lead the APSA.

6- Ajakon Confederation

The Ajakon confederation is one of the most advanced nations in Orbis, if not the most advanced. Ajako has a powerful military and a strong nuclear deterrent, and it has proved its capabilities.

5- Republic of China

The Republic of China is, population-wise, the largest single nation in Orbis. The impact of this alone would land China in the top 10, and as China modernizes it can be placed even higher

4- Union of India (collectively)

Now entering the ranks of the superpowers, we have the Union of India, enjoying the population advantages of China on an even more extreme scale. Collectively, the Union of India is among the most powerful entities in Orbis, and some of its member states like Nebelystan or Chittagong could probably make this top 10 list of their own accord.

3- Victoria

Victoria is definitely a superpower. Biding its time in the wars of the 2090’s, Victoria has emerged from the reshaping of the world with a colonial empire and an intact, technologically advanced military.

2- Sedrosia

One of the old powers, Sedrosia has one of the largest colonial empires in Orbis, perhaps the largest. Its army is massive and well-equipped. Sedrosia controls the crucial trade areas of the near east. Sedrosia took an active lead in rebuilding the world in the aftermath of the  Soviet-TUI war. Deciding who was #1 was hard, but there was one deciding factor, as you shall see under…

1- Britain

I initially couldn’t decide who was the #1 of these two, Britain or Sedrosia. Both have Massivecolonial empires, large, militaries, huge networks of allies, nuclear arsenals, and more.

But Britain has the lead in one particular field:

Space. The British, with TUI gone, dominate space, and that alone would earn them a place in the top 5, probably even the top 3, even if they didn’t have a massive terrestrial empire as well.

I would like to mention that the 2 vanished giants, the Soviets and TUI, would have both been in the top. The Soviet Federation would have been in the same race as Britain and Sedrosia, while TUI, dominating all theaters, land, sea, air, and space, easily held #1; his primary weakness, as we saw, was his reliance on the JGP for internal integrity. Nukeya, Dauchh, and from what i’ve seen, Dreamistan in his prime would have also been in the top 10, maybe even top 5. Nukeya would have been in the top 3. Canada, Mountainia, Kolakia, Thailand, Eastorasia, and La Plata were all considered for honorable mentions. Bedland may have made it to the bottom of the top 10 list around the time of the Iron Pakt War, and RoDevs would have also been up here in his prime.

I hope you enjoyed this bulletin! Countryball bulletin coming soon!

Well, sadly this is already a bit outdated

Both Ajako and Cruzeiro posted while I was writing this, and their relative lack of posts was kind of why i ranked them a bit lower, and IK Areulia has something to say…

Still, I think it’s a good overview.

britain got rid of 90% of his colonial empire like 3 days ago so he's a lot smaller now :3

If this is ranked by power then it's completely wrong. (I don't know what kind of power exactly you mean anyways)

@Gideon Grogorev

IK

He still has a decent amount tho, and space was the deciding factor.

I mean a bit rude to deliberately change the system and accelerate the becoming-outdated but makes sense

I myself wish that to be my next project.

I’m happy with honorable mentions as I think of myself as a fairly strong country with nukes and missiles and all those stuff.
