Melonese War Continues

The war against the Melon has continued in light offensives. For several weeks, tens of thousands of reinforcements have arrived on both the northern and southern fronts as parts of the front may lie in threat of being retaken in a possible Melonese counterattack. Meanwhile, the main air battle has continued as Allied forces have launched a few bombing campaigns primarily military targets such as airfields, naval docks, bases, fortifications, and Melonese arms manufacturing with the aid of Taipan Corp Surveillance Satellites which the Sedrosian government has commissioned in a 200-million-dollar deal with the company. 

A small, limited offensive in the southwestern salient of the southern front has been launched by armored and infantry units of the 3rd Combined Army Corp under the command of Lieutenant General Karl Jogenheimer. The goal is to close the gap between the three main offensive lines in the southwestern salient. Armored units have stormed into the salient after a large artillery and air bombardment to clear out any defending forces inside the bulge. Infantry has stormed up through the line and close to the designated halt of the offensive within a few hours of the advance. The salient itself is mostly flat open fields with a few villages and towns dotting the landscape, said villages being defended by light defenses with the main strategic goal being to mostly shorten the frontline and close several bulges in the line. The offensive has stopped some 30km from the city of Agen as the city remains more heavily defended in comparison to the rest of the salient. 

Meanwhile, Sedrosia hasn’t launched any major offensives in the north, only sending more troops to aid Dutch troops in the salient near Le Harve and Rouen to prevent a Melonese counterattack, further rear guard have followed up to fill said divisions gaps. Defenses along the new defensive line near Amiens dubbed by many Sedrosian soldiers as “The Fox’s Den” has begun to see more permanent trenches and fortifications being built as the stalemate in Uchama is estimated in the north could likely last upwards of 2 years for a multitude of reasons.

MDAP Signed with Ukraine, Independence of Eastern Europe Upheld

Sedrosian diplomats have arrived in Ukraine to discuss matters crucial to the Ukrainian nation's sovereignty and talks of relations. After hours of deliberation between the Ukrainian leader and Sedrosian Chancellor Igor Bojevic, we have agreed to sign a Mutual Defensive and Aggression Pact (MDAP) between the Ukrainian and Sedrosian governments. Further, Chancellor Bojevic has reaffirmed the commitment to maintain the new eastern European nations and their independence, especially against potential foreign threats of invasion or annexation or other forceful measures against these nations. This has been officially accepted by Ukraine and the offer of guaranteeing the Independence of Prussia, Russia, and the new Baltic state has been extended. The previous promises to Kenish, Meg, and Vesla also remain in effect. 

Also, the Sedrosian Empire has also issued its support for the upholding independence of the nations of Poland, Belarus, and Slovakia and has signed a blank statement that any foreign nation that dared try to expand into said territory with the intent of annexing it for themselves will be met with swift military action from the Sedrosian Empire to defend said lands sovereignty.
