Day 5 of Operation Jenner: Monoj is dead! Bjein almost free!

Today is a day worth celebrating. The infamous bioterrorist who goes by the name of Fer Monoj has been confirmed dead at the 16th hour and 31st minute of the 15th of May 2022, EuroNutellan calendar and time-zone. President Zelenschius called this "a great success for our special forces and a big sigh of relief for the world". The terrorist apparently used his position as scientist and university teacher to get access to Kinijak's biolab with which he created his virus. On his desk multiple copies of his manifesto, titled Consumerist Society and its Future, were found, presumably to be distributed to his disciples. The manifesto contains multiple ramblings against modernity, the industrial revolution, technology and society at large. Most copies were destroyed during the battle, we are aware however that some people may be interested in reading them, as such we warn all readers that the writings within this manifesto come from an irrational man who has killed thousands for his ideology that is not based on science and should not be taken as anything other than a madman's attempt at justifying his violent impulses. But now let us delve into today's Operation report.

Re-establishing order:

An assault on terrorist-held Kinijak was started and concluded today. Thanks to our special operation forces' training, tactical advantage and the unrest within the city the assaut was an immense success. The city fell within a few hours from the assault with medium resistance, casualties were contained. With the city and the rest of the main island of Bjein being captured another 102'000 Bjeians were liberated. Now only the secondary island remains to be liberated, expert estimate this will only need two days. Still no sign of the Bjeian government anywhere. Due to this the Parlamentum has approved a resolution to allow the Bjeian citizens to form a provisional government once the two islands are secure, furthermore EuroNutellan spec ops will train the liberated Bjeian soldiers for counter-terrorism so that this situation won't happen again once our men, women and other personnel pull out of the area.

Vaccinations:

Thanks to our extra medical equipment another 100'000 people were vaccinated today. New cases amount to only about 3'000, 2'000 of which in the Baffin State. New deaths are at 10'000, meaning that the total number of active cases has drastically diminished. 210'002 people are yet to be vaccinated, 100'000 of which are in the uncontrolled territory.

Neutralizing Monoj:

During the capturing of Kinijak the headquarters and laboratory of the terrorist cell were stormed and captured, alongside many documents detailing who was behind and in the organisation, monetary transactions, ideology, goals, plans, and future objectives. During the battle 789 terrorists were arrested or terminated, including the leader of the organization Fer Monoj, who committed suicide by detonating himself with a grenade while Nutellan spec ops were approaching the building he was residing in. Remains of his body were found, confirmed to be his via forensic examination and then cremated and dispersed in an undisclosed location as to avoid pilgrimages.

Currently 86 terrorists remain operative within the Baffin State.
