Originally known as Esaru, the land of Esonia has a rich and ancient history. The Kingdom of Esaru was a powerful trading empire that flourished for centuries, strategically located along key trade routes connecting West Africa to the Mediterranean world. The kingdom was known for its people, the Asuru, who developed a distinct cultural identity created by North African missionaries in the 12th century.

Over time, Esaru was colonized by the Franco-Belgian Confederation during the 19th century. The colonial powers exploited the land’s resources, but the indigenous people never abandoned their cultural identity. As colonial rule persisted, nationalist movements began to grow, and the desire for independence simmered within the hearts of the people.

II. The Rise of Makaveli Augustus and the Birth of Esonia

Esoni Makaveli Augustus was born in 2051, a descendant of the prominent Makaveli family within the Sons of Esaru, a clandestine and fiercely loyal clan of scholars and assassins. The Sons of Esaru were a secretive, yet influential organization that emerged from the shadows of Esaru’s ancient history. Their mission was one of leading a renaissance and a revolution, restoring the sacred honor of the kingdom. 

Esoni Makaveli was educated in Florence and Paris, where he studied political philosophy, economics, and military strategy. He adopted the teachings of radical left-wing economists, forming the belief that only through an authoritarian regime could true societal stability and economic equality be achieved.

By 2093, Makaveli had grown disillusioned with the Republic of Esaru, a government that had emerged after the nation’s independence in 2020 but had quickly devolved into hedonism and satanic rule. The ruling elite indulged in excesses of power, corruption, and debauchery, forsaking the nation’s moral and spiritual foundations. Their decadent lifestyle fueled anger and resentment among the population, and many began to view the government as illegitimate and unworthy of the land’s heritage.

III. The Overthrow of the Republic

In 2093, after years of building his influence and being emboldened by the Mauri Renaissance, a late 21st century cultural movement, Makaveli orchestrated a violent coup with the support of the Sons of Esaru. With ruthless precision, the clan’s assassins methodically executed the Republic of Esaru, eliminating the leaders who represented the moral decay of the nation. The Sons of Esaru, using their knowledge of political strategy, mercilessly purged the corrupt ruling class, cutting them down in a series of highly orchestrated assassinations.

Makaveli, declared the Empire of Esonia, renaming the country to signify the dawn of a new era—one where discipline, honor, and faith would restore order. He assumed the title of Augustus, inspired by the first Roman emperor, and positioned himself as both the political and spiritual leader of the new empire.

IV. Cultural and Social Structure Under Augustus

Makaveli Augustus immediately reshaped the cultural and religious landscape of Esonia. Religious observance became strongly encouraged for all citizens, with codes of conduct publications.

Esonian society is structured around the concept of unity, loyalty, and discipline. The emperor’s authority is absolute, with all decisions ultimately coming from his will. The arts, music, and literature glorify God and the divine connection with Esonia.

V. Economy and Social Policy

Esonia adopted an extremely left-wing economic system, with the state controlling all major industries. The Swiss Franc (CHF) was chosen as the official currency, aligning the nation with global financial stability while maintaining economic independence. The state also introduced widespread social programs, including free secondary education, free healthcare, and compulsory state service for all citizens, who were required to either serve in the military or contribute to public works.

Makaveli Augustus believed in the redistribution of wealth to ensure equality and social stability. Through the tight control of all economic sectors, the emperor could maintain both his political and financial grip on the nation.

VI. Legacy and Future

Makaveli Augustus’s regime marked the beginning of a new era in Esonia. The Empire of Esonia, built upon the ashes of the Republic of Esaru, emerged as a highly structured, authoritarian state. His divine mandate as emperor was unchallenged, and his policies reshaped the nation’s social fabric. Prosperity wasfinally achieved under his rule. A 22nd century dynasty was born.
