The Imperial Djonian Republic (or Djonian Empire) is a democratic hybrid. The Emperor or Empress (or Imperium) is elected for life. The Imperium has a lot of power, but is limited by the 4 councils and constitution. The councils are: Imperial, Military, Civil, and Science. Each has 100 councilors. The Supreme Court handles constitutional matters and consists of 5 Justices. Make no mistake; Djonia is a democracy!
