Atlas arose as a result of Mantle's near collapse following the great War. Not nearly as small as "Remnant's" populace believes, the universe transported the Kingdom of Atlas and all remaining inhabitants not evacuated by the "heroic" Team RWBY into the world of Orbit, where it now resides in a similar environments from which it came from, only the land is far more fertile than that which was found in Solitas. Taking this opportunity to retain his command and rebuild the shattered military, General James Ironwood properly resettled the land and organized a government controlled by the military, since it is only through this institution that Atlas survived. Further, he denounces the forces that have led Altas so blissfully to destruction. In the pursuit of "trusting love" the hastily promoted teenage Huntsmen quickly overran their own authority and effectively doomed any efforts to counter the dreaded Salem to in-fighting. Only one thing is certain. If Atlas finds its way back to the world of Remnant, it will take any and all liberties in finding the traitors, and dealing with them in the most brutally efficient fashion. Winter... WE are coming!

Atlas prides itself on its exceptionally well-trained and highly disciplined armed forces. On Orbis, Atlas no longer holds the heavy technologucal and engineering edge that it did back on Remnant, but this was quickly rectified by Atlas's sheer ingenuity. Within just months of being established, all Dust-powered airships, ground vehicles and weapons weew refitted with oil and Uranium fueled cores to keep them operating and functioning arguably better than before! As a bellicose, military-led nation, it will rarely say no to a quick and decisive offensive war when given the opportunity, but can be disadvantaged when forced on the defensive and spread thin with its very mobile, attack-oriented force. Yet even in thsaw instances fast production and surprise can lead to an aggressor's unexpected capitulation. GLORY TO THE GENERAL STAFF!
