History: After 50 grueling years of oppressive government rule dividing the people into classes, a wise man named Henry Louis Bell led a mass revolt of people against the Executives in the Capital City. For years what had originally started as civil unrest, peaceful protests and sporadic rioting, turned into mass bloodshed when government troops opened fire on Bell's protesters injuring hundreds of people and killing almost 276 others, including Bell himself. Upon Bell's death the rioters and protesters turned Bell into a national martyr and Civil War erupted!

While the government had the weapons, the people had the numbers and slowly but surely government forces were overwhelmed and the "President" of Terok Nor was captured and publicly executed! Without leadership it was inevitable for the Civil War to turn into a power struggle and so to avoid unnecessary conflict, the leaders of the revolution held the nation's first democratic election in 50 years!

Agathor, who took Bell's place and had climbed to the rank of General during the war, was unanimously elected as President of Terok Nor!

After a devastating war in which the nation's infrastructure was destroyed and almost 184,726 people were killed, the new President (Agathor) promised an era of peace and re-growth for all citizens. New laws were passed and the old oppressive ways were abolished. Agathor is now in his 2nd year as President and the people are beginning anew one day at a time.
Geography
Continent: North America
Land Area: 160,129.33 sq. km
Terrain: Terok Nor is a continuously expanding nation and currently occupies a region of North America on the East Coast. The land in and around the cities is good for agriculture and in the west, our boarders are currently sheltered by the Adirondack and Appalachian Mountains. The Appalachian Range is the longest range on the continent spanning some 1500 square miles from south to north, and the highest peak is Mt. Mitchell at 6,684ft. above sea level.

Beyond the Mountain ranges lies more fertile farmlands and flowing rivers with arid regions of desert on the opposite side of the continent. The deserts of the west are popular places for the Terok government to send traitors who face exile or execution. Most exiles are never seen or heard from again, but a fortunate few have been known to make it to other small nations beyond Terok Jurisdiction!

To our east lies the vast Atlantic Ocean! The ocean itself is an outlet for Terok Nor to trade with the rest of the world while also guaranteeing that no Navy or Army can encroach on our boarders undetected! Having the Ocean to our East and Mountains to our north and south makes our ground forces unmatched in guerilla warfare as well as expert sailors and Pilots!

Climate: Terok Nor has a moderate climate with an adequate warm and rainy spring with hot summers. In some years, temperatures were recorded as high as 110 degrees during the summer and 87 degrees in spring.
During the fall weather changes daily in temperature and precipitation. Some days are dry and warm while others are cool and rainy. As the fall months near closer to Winter however, precipitation radically changes from rain to snow and temperatures have been recorded as low as 3 degrees in January. Naturally the higher into our mountainous regions you go, the harsher these temperatures and the weather gets.

While the government prohibits direct involvement, "fair" government regulations of insurance and other laws governing the behavior of business has led to some of the best healthcare and industries on the continent.
Military
History: The Military was founded in 1789 after Terok Nor became its own independent nation. When the government became corrupt the military became divided, which allowed for the people to eventually overwhelm Union forces in 2016.

Terok Nor's military includes a well trained ground army and an expert navy and air force. Other such devious and undercover operations are denied to exist with the exception of the Obsidian Order. The Obsidian order is the "famed but never admitted to" undercover Intelligence Agency of Terok Nor. This group is credited with the disappearance of most political opponents and traitors who wish harm or political unrest within or outside our borders.

While the Terok Government denies the existence of any such undercover organization, conspiracy theorists among Terok's population are convinced of the existence of such undercover government organizations. All of which are denied to exist under the current government.
