History: After the Oligarchy controlling the United States had started to fail cultural Marxism and postmodernism spread throughout higher educational systems. Following the election of a Democratic socialist President a military coup regained control of the country leading to the formation of the Republic of Hyperborea. The Republic of Hyperborea has an almost non existent Federal government serving only to settle state disputes and use in foreign policy. The Republic of Hyperborea has a strict non interventions foreign policy unless provoked. As a strongly nationalistic country the Republic of Hyperborea is opposed to globalism. Marxism, communism and other leftists ideologies are strictly forbidden in the country. The idea of freedom is the most fundamental part of Hyperborean cultural. Because of this citizens don't sacrifice freedom for a large Central government. The Republic of Hyperborea would never trade the sovereignty of it's nation or citizens for the benefits posed by an alliance.
