RIOTS IN CAPE ANTHEPHORIA
In February of 2099 Vivek Sendall was nominated as the new Westothian President after election season giving the Westothian Progressive Party another win still dominating Westothian politics. Vivek Sendall had a more centrist/liberal approach to things, he is currently implementing the Anti-Homeless Immigrant act of 2099 to establish a better quality of life for some Westothian immigrants to take them out of poverty/homelessness. The Westothian Conservative Party was not to much of a fan of the act.
On June 15th, 2099 A group of Westothian Conservatives organized a massive protest/riot over the new current rule and were planning on a march towards the President's House. The Conservatives had guns with them and Westothian Conservative flags and there were estimated 2,000 rioters, and were going to raid the Capitol Building the raid was crushed by police with many people within the Capitol building hiding. They began there march on the Presidents House and were carrying a stand with a noose to hang President Sendall. They were chanting "DOWN WITH SENDALL, WHINDALE SHALL RISE", Vivek was in the President House hiding wit his family in a bunker and ordered the military to intervein.
The Black Hawk Defence Force went into the capital with tanks and balsted the rioters killing an estimate 50 of the, Police intervened and arrested and brutalized the rioters. Many businesses were burnt down with the capital being trashed. Vivek Sendall accused his rival Carson Whindale of organizing the riots with reations from him so far being muted. 260 people were killed with 120 being injured with this being marked a national tragedy. This was seen by some as an attempted coup by whindale we will update more on the incident.
