The Fujin Plan, the newest scheme by the government to develop the nation's economy in times like these

The foundation of a nation is its people. If the people suffer, then the nation suffers as a whole. The Republic of China must once again become prosperous. An economic plan aiming to lift the nation out of relative poverty which he has named the 富金 (Fujin), literally translating to rich gold, has been devised. The economy is primarily an export economy that relies on the manufacturing of cheap goods and cheap labour costs. Over the past decades, labour costs have risen to a point where this system is untenable.

As outlined in the plan, the nation is to invest in high-quality long-term and stabile investments. Manufacturing should shift to automation and be used to produce higher quality goods such as: batteries, semiconductors, wind turbines, electric vehicles, solar panels, etc. Through automation, high-volume production, and by using ultra-high nanoscale weight polyethylene (UHNWPE) and other new plastics made using nanotechnology to have significantly better qualities, the nation should become a leader in exporting these high-quality goods.

The nation's abundant resources are to be used in domestic industry rather than be exported directly. This has already partially begun with its effects being abundantly clear, efficiency rises, cost decreases, and the necessary amount of labour to provide even more goods lowers.

The state is to invest in infrastructure, which it already is. Reserve requirements for banks should be lowered, allowing them to lend more, and banks should be allowed to engage in double bank lending. To raise funds, the government should use propaganda and public relations campaigns to raise bonds.

As the state has already purchased land on a massive scale due to low prices induced by radiation and begun developing them with buildings that are rapidly assembled and made of 3D printed prefabricated parts, it should as it has planned, sell it on a large scale to provide housing and raise funds for the state. Afterwards, real estate should be regulated to prevent a real estate bubble from developing.

This is to be projected on a wider scale, to the point where all factories will use automation and other innovative technologies and techniques. In order to make this possible, factories that adopt the new requirements and new factories are given cheap loans, subsidies, and cheap prices on the land they plan to operate on.

For this plan to succeed, strengthening social safety nets, such as healthcare, pensions, and unemployment benefits, is imperative. Despite the healthcare system already being socialised and every adult citizen is entitled to a universal basic income (UBI), pensions need improvement. According to the plan, all citizens above the age of 60 should be eligible for pensions of 10,000 USD per month to add onto their UBIs.

It is hoped that this will reduce precautionary savings and make people more free in their spending, raising consumerism. The main criticism of this plan is that due to people primarily saving rather than spending in rampant consumerism, that certain portions of the plan will not be economically viable. These have been dismissed as false, but regardless it would be immensely more beneficial should there be more consumerism. In the hopes of making purchasing more convenient, and thus leading to increase consumerism, all stores, which aside from those that provide food stuffs have been closed down due to radiation; even so they no longer take payments and accept ration books only, will have to accept digital payment at the expense of the state. It is noted that the majority of stores already accept Alipay and or WeChat Pay which are already preferred over credit cards by 95% and 87% of Chinese citizens respectively.

The issue is that this will lead to widespread unemployment and layoffs, and subsequently will lead to widespread discontent. This is where the other half of the proposed plan comes in. These tens of millions should enter service sectors. The aim of the entire plan is to enrich the country, bring prosperity, and have the nation end up with a hybridised version of a service-driven and manufacturing-driven economy. To do this, job training, vocational training, reskilling, and post-secondary education will be made free-of-charge. In addition, the government will pay people an 5% of what they earn from an apprenticeship should they enter one.

Radiation has forced many factories to close down as all people loiter in bunkers. Outside of this, the rest have followed the automation requirements, with the associated costs having been paid for by the state. The Fujin Plan has been approved and is set to begin when radiation subsides.

National Protection Army releases new tank variant and other news

The National Protection Army Ground Force has announced that it has released a new variant of the new Type-100 main battle tank, the Type-100A main battle tank. So far there have been 600 produced and production continues. It has announced that a further 400 Type-100 main battle tanks, 500 ZBL-09 infantry fighting vehicles, and 800 PG-90 towed anti-aircraft artillery have been produced so far.

Like the Type-100, the Type-100A incorporates modular components that can easily be swapped out or upgraded to adapt for different situations. These modular components are made of UHNWPEs that make the tank significantly lighter while also allowing armour to be thinner and more protective against penetration. The hybrid engine allows for there to be a silent driving mode in case stealth is needed. The tank also incorporates electronic warfare systems that are modular and can be swapped out. The Type-100A is slightly larger and heavier, leading to reduced mobility while having additional fuel capacity, trench crossing, water crossing, and vertical obstacle. The Type-100A uses a 140 mm smoothbore main gun rather than the Type-100's 125 mm to pack an additional punch.

The Republic of China restores the China National Space Administration, begins development of satellites

The Republic of China has announced the formation of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), the national space organisation of the Republic of China. Its headquarters are in the Haidian district of Beijing. It employs nearly 10,000 civil servants. The Director of the CNSA is Ding Qibing. It's 2099 budget is a mere $8 billion USD.

Preparations for the launch of multiple reconnaissance satellites have begun and for other spacecraft have begun. Many parts are to be made using industrial 3D printing and made of UHNWPEs. These nanomaterials will be engineered to possess unique thermal properties, such as high thermal conductivity or low thermal expansion coefficients that can be used in the production of heat-resistant components, thermal protection systems, and radiator panels for spacecraft, making it significantly less difficult to ensure optimal thermal management even in harsh space environments.

Boron nitride nanotubes and hydrogenated graphene will be incorporated to shield spacecraft from radiation and protect sensitive electronics from solar radiation and cosmic rays. Many electronic components, using these revolutionary technologies, will have more reliable and effective circuitry in reduced sizes, minitiarurisation. These will be integrated using 3D printing directly into spacecraft, leading to improved system efficiency. Other properties such as self-healing will be developed for these materials.

To speed up the process, former members of the national space organisation of the now defunct state of New Zukesa, their launch sites such as Qiaoerkefusiji (Tsiolkovsky), and facilities where their spacecraft was manufactured will be used to aid the CNSA in modern techniques, rather than force the CNSA to rely on decades old work laid by the People's Republic of China.
