The war in Uchama has reached a stalemate as the Sedrosian advance has been cut off some 15km from the Amiens City Center. With the advance stalled, Sedrosian forces have instead been ordered to dig in along the borders save some sectors where small offensives or several slight tactical withdrawals to better defensive lines. Air defense systems and artillery batteries have been also pulled forward to the multiple lines of defense.
Reinforcements from the Sedrosian homeland have also begun arriving in bulk at the Northern Uchaman front and the bulk of the defensive lines. The bulk of these forces are mechanized infantry, artillery brigades, and air units as the battlefield tactics in this region are switched from armored columns and assaults to artillery lines and fortifications. The total number of forces sent to the Northern Front is an estimated 180,000 troops. The main armored columns have been transferred to the offensive lines in the north and the south of Uchama which had before the stalling of the front reached the Melonese border or into the interior of the Melon itself. A further 60,000 troops have landed at the occupied city of Narbonne to reinforce the Southern Front. The war is seemingly turning into a longer conflict that may drag on in some parts for many months longer than anticipated.

Sedrosian 2098 Election Results
The Sedrosian 2098 elections have been held as it should despite the emergency election from the previous year. While many just wanted to wait till 2100 for the next elections, Parliament decided to hold them anyways. This was more evident due to the fact that most local and provincial elections were still taking place this year, and only the House of Commons held an election in 2097.
On December 20th, elections were held for both the Chancellorship, House of Commons, and local and provincial levels as well. Bojevic, which was now officially running for the Chancellorship, has had little major opposition from the other parties due to his increasing popularity among the Sedrosian people. 7 other “major” candidates still ran although few expected any wins from their sides.
The results have since election night been officially counted in. Here are the results:
Chancellorship:
(National Workers Party) Igor Bojevic - 109,783,239 ✔️
(Sedrosian Democratic Party) Dennis Birkley - 19,009,821

Wow the workers' party really kicked butt, that's substantially more votes than even the dominant National Front party in Vilania got.
