Operation Forochel

     Raritania has launched another strike.

After the successful strike on Murmansk, Operation Narwhal, Task Force Ghenghis has continued further north.

A strike has now been launched against the Soviet bases in Franz Josef, particularly the Raritanian-built base on Alexandra Land. As the fleet’s aviation is still awaiting some replacement aircraft, we decided to reduce enemy air capabilities with long-range N-3 strikes on the air defenses, airstrip, and hangars from Jan Mayen, about 1,000 miles away, before attacking with ship-based missiles and aircraft.

Raritanian forces had a significant advantage in this battle, as most Soviet naval forces have already been cleared from the region and, as stated, the base was Raritanian-built.

2 damaged cutters were lost (one with all hands) in a powerful storm en route that also resulted in the loss of a BQ-2 and another cutter was sunk by a Soviet submarine, which was itself sunk in retaliation. 1 BNA-1 was shot down and another 2 damaged, albeit reparably, though the copilot of one was killed by shrapnel.

Military Production

Raritanian military production has been in high gear since well before the war started. Now, nearly 2 months in, this is how many vehicles have been produced

(total also includes equipment commissioned previously and mothballed equipment recommissioned for war; as such, it actually represents the cumulative total of the last 3 or so wars. Some naval production dates back to the Scottish War)

  • 1,000 tanks
  • 2,000 IFVs
  • 1,500 artillery pieces
  • 5,500 APCs
  • 1 cruiser
  • 3 destroyers
  • 20 smaller ships
  • Over 100 combat aircraft
  • 20 strategic airlifters

This has been possible due to extensive prewar preparations and the fact that production was already ongoing when war began.

In addition, we have an Amphibious Assault Ship and a Battleship nearing completion; they will likely see service in this war.

The RNS Newark

In order to better get a second carrier into service in time for service in the war, and to ensure that Raritania will have a backup sooner, we have decided to temporarily pause construction of the carrier Boston and instead begin work on restoring the RNS Newark, a decommissioned Raritanian carrier of the same class as the Niwklinton.

The restoration of the carrier is expected to be completed by the end of 2098.

Communist terror attack

A communist terror attack has occurred in Niw Newgork.

A bomb went off in an apartment block, causing the complete collapse of the building and the deaths of at least 200. A fire broke out but was successfully contained.

The Red Eagles, a splinter group off the BRF, claimed responsibility for the attack, claiming that they used explosives smuggled from the Soviet Federation with the knowledge of the Soviet Government during the 2nd Mundusian war.

President Aster has vowed revenge for the attack, and has begun the execution of prisoners with suspected ties to the Red Eagles as the first stage.

Some of those ships were being made long before the war. I commissioned them for other wars that ended
