History: After centuries of Imperial occupation by it's neighbours, Wales has finally broken free of its enemies' rule and restored a proper monarchy to the nation. It has renamed itself the Gwynedd empire as a tribute to the country's last remaining principality to be subjugated.
The country has slowly built up economic and industrial power and crushed several animal rights groups by use of extreme force. A controversial move, but considering the large number of sheep and lack of other industry, what else were they supposed to do?

After gaining independence, the Gwynedd Empire joined the Bad Company alliance towards its end, a period so long in its past no one in the nation knows exactly when, only that it happened.
After Bad Company's transition into Frontier Records the nation stayed its course alongside other nations it recognised as loyal allies, which supported the Empires growth into the period under the Sanreizan alliance and through into the nation's time with the Ampersand.

The nation in its now ancient state has become a guiding influence on military affairs for its allies.
