History: The Kingdom of Jasminia traces its origins to High Lord Jasmire the Founder, who united the warring principalities of the Jasmine Valley nearly a thousand years ago. Jasmire forged a realm centered on faith in the Royal Jasmine Church, a spiritual order that proclaimed divine favor upon the new dynasty. Over the centuries, the monarchy evolved into a constitutional system, balancing royal authority with councils of nobles and elected representatives.

The Grand Conclave of Princes, comprising the high nobility, was first established as an advisory body to the High Lord but gradually gained legislative influence. Later, with the rise of mercantile cities and commoners demanding a voice, the House of Commons was formed, creating Jasminia’s enduring bicameral parliament. This structure gave rise to a political culture resembling Britain’s, where the Prime Minister emerged as head of government while the High Lord remained symbolic guardian of unity.

Periods of strife marked Jasminia’s past: dynastic wars between rival branches of the royal family, tensions between church and secular authority, and moments of foreign incursion that tested its sovereignty. Yet, Jasminia endured, often relying on its fertile valleys, strategic mountain passes, and resilient citizenry.

In modern times, Jasminia is ruled by High Lord Caspian XII and guided politically by Lady Alviria Silvertagne, the first Prime Minister in eight decades to come from the Grand Conclave. With a blend of tradition and reform, Jasminia stands as a small but proud nation whose legacy rests on unity, faith, and a distinct cultural identity.
Geography
Continent: Europe
Land Area: 47,073.20 sq. km
Terrain: Jasminia’s landscape is a tapestry of dramatic contrasts, where soaring mountains, lush valleys, and fertile plains shape both its natural beauty and its cultural identity.

At its crown rises The Crystal (4,095 m), the highest peak in the kingdom. This jagged mountain, perpetually capped with snow, gleams in the sunlight as if carved from glass, giving rise to its name. The Crystal anchors the Jasminian Alps, a range of rugged highlands that serve as both a natural barrier and a source of life-giving rivers. Glacial streams rush from these peaks into the valleys below, carving ravines and feeding fertile farmlands.

In stark contrast, Jasminia’s lowest point is the Croft Valley (-74 m), a sunken basin of rolling wetlands and meandering streams. This valley, shrouded in mist for much of the year, is famed for its unique ecosystem of waterfowl, reeds, and medicinal herbs. Historically, it has been both a breadbasket and a contested borderland.

The heart of the kingdom is dominated by the Jasmine Plains—vast fields where the fragrant white jasmine flower grows in abundance, giving the nation its name. These plains are Jasminia’s agricultural heartland, dotted with vineyards, grain fields, and pastoral villages.

Thick forests cloak much of the western and northern uplands, home to elk, boar, and ancient oaks considered sacred in Jasminian folklore. Rivers such as the Lyssian and Aurelle wind across the land, binding mountain and plain together.
Highest Peak: The Crystal, 4,095 meters
Lowest Valley: Croft Valley, -74 meters
Climate: Jasminia enjoys a temperate European climate, though its varied terrain creates striking regional differences.

The Jasmine Plains, stretching across the heart of the kingdom, experience a mild oceanic climate much like northern and western France. Summers are warm but rarely scorching, averaging 23–27 °C, while winters are cool and damp, with frosts but little heavy snow. These conditions make the plains ideal for agriculture—grain, vineyards, and the famous jasmine fields flourish here. Spring and early summer bring rolling waves of blossoms, filling the air with fragrance.

In the Jasminian Alps, crowned by The Crystal (4,095 m), the climate is alpine. The higher elevations are snowbound much of the year, feeding glacial rivers. Lower mountain valleys have cooler summers (15–20 °C) and cold winters with heavy snowfall, making them both challenging for settlement and vital for water resources.

The Croft Valley, at –74 m, has a unique microclimate. Its sunken geography traps mist and humidity, leading to damp, mild winters and lush, marshy summers. While fog often blankets the basin, it is rarely subject to frost, allowing for unusual crops and a rich wetland ecosystem.

The forested uplands of the west and north experience a humid continental climate, with crisp autumns, snowy winters, and temperate summers. These woodlands sustain strong biodiversity and have long been a source of timber, game, and folklore.

Along the southern lowlands, Jasminia enjoys a milder, almost Mediterranean influence, with longer sunny seasons and drier summers, making it a hub for vineyards, olive groves, and citrus orchards.
