Very long ago Iwo Jima had it's own population. They got evacuated before the Battle of Iwo Jima by the Japanese under the command of General Tadamichi Kuribayashi. The island would be defended at all costs because it had a airfield on which American forces could reach Japan with if they held it and could work as an emergency airfield for B-29 bombers

On 19 Februari 1945 more than 110k American servicemen (From all branches) participated in the invasion. Including 500 ships
The Japanese defended the island with around 21k soldiers
After a extremely fierce fight that also had a Banzai charge with around 1k soldiers eventually
17,845–18,375 Japanese soldiers wound up dead or missing in action. Only 216 were captured

6,821 American soldiers died and 19,217 were wounded 2648 got Combat stress reaction, 137 tanks were destroyed and 2 American soldiers were captured

The Americans also had a mop-up phase after the battle, capturing 867 more Japanese soldiers with the rest killed, dead or dispersed

15 American soldiers died and 144 got wounded

After the war passed the Japanese soldiers created the Country of Iwo Jima following the Japanese emperor as supreme God. After the Showa era ended and the emperor became less and less praised a son of the emperor fleed to the island. And became their leader. Thus becoming the first ever true emperor of Iwo Jima. And now the country was the ''Empire of Iwo Jima'' Soon the native population of the island returned too to the island because it was safe again. And even a very small minority of Okinawan civilians! When the king became an adult he shortly after married a woman of the native population named Kojima Hotaka. They had a son soon enough, and his name was:

Now after the Native population left more children it kept growing. Eventually Iwo Jima declared full independance.

After the Emperor and his wife died i became the new Emperor of Iwo Jima

My goal is to bring the empire back by slowly spreading trough Asia like our Japanese ancestors did. But this time succeed

History: Officially, the military was the Imperial Japanese Navy, after the loss of the battle of Iwo Jima lots of weapons remained (and also some hiding soldiers) When the state was estabalished as was the military which used the surplus ww2 materials. And consisted of the veterans. Soon the country started it's own industry and created it's own weapons. However, alot still were imported from other countries.
