History: Nazara is an island nation, located in the Mediterranean Sea. Its leader, called a Nizam, is Adrienne Kateri Isabella Azeneth of the House Majid. Nazara functions as an elective monarchy, meaning that while power remains within the ruling house, the heir is chosen by a council of elders from the ruling house instead of following the typical hereditary monarchic system. This method of government was chosen to ensure the most suitable person is placed on the throne as, once elected, a nizam rules for life. Other members of the royal family use the honorific "Mahdi", meaning "guided one". The current ruling house, House Majid, has ruled for 350+ years.

Centuries of wars and influence from nearby countries such as those in the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa, have left a profound impact on the culture of Nazara. Their language, Najani, is a romance language with Arabic influence, similar to Spanish and their predominant faith, Mazijalfe, is a syncretic Islam-Christian faith. Because of their unique faith and outlook, Nazaraens are exceedingly tolerant of other cultures and religions.

Nazara shares its main island with its neighbor, Amna. Despite their similarities and attempts at reconciliation, Nazara and Amna have always historically been at odds with one another, with the most recent debacle occurring in May 2015, when Amnan terrorists struck at the Nazaraen capital of Zarajen in a coordinated attack on five major public buildings. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 1,854 people, including then Mahdi Adrienne's brother, Mahdi Fakhri Khalid and father, Nizam Shadir, placed Adrienne on the throne and plunged Nazara and Amna into war.

After nearly two years of constant warfare and stagnant progress, Nizam Adrienne sought the help of the Knights Radiant, an elite alliance whose swift action and expertise allowed Nazara to turn the tides of the war against Amna and return to its former glory.
