History: On August 25, 2098, colonizers from a nation known as the British Empire on the planet Earth arrived on the planet of Orbis. They rapidly colonized the newly available land and named the colony "New Britannia", as "New British Empire" was mysteriously the name of another nation. However, "New British Empire" remained the unofficial name of New Britannia. The king of the New British Empire, King George XII, had already been designated to be king by the colonial authorities before departure.

However, a tragic accident cut off communications between the New British Empire on Orbis and the British Empire on Earth, and they were never able to be restored. The lack of contact led to mass chaos, and raiders used it to their advantage to loot the New British Empire. After constant attacks by raiders and looking for protection, on March 5, 2099, the New British Empire officially joined the alliance known as the Iron Crow Syndicate, now known as The Remnant.

However, upon joining, tensions between a nation known as The Bryantplux Empire and the New British Empire were tense, as the people of New Britain drank tea, while the people of The Bryantplux Empire drank Monster Energy. This only escalated on January 18, 2101 when King George XII issued a diplomatic protest to the "God Emperor" Mroompaloompa64 about the Bryantist consumption of Monster Energy, to which he responded by banning all consumption of tea in The Bryantplux Empire.

As for some strange reason, the British flag was everyone on this new planet, the colonizers proposed a new flag for the colony to replace the Union Jack. The resulting product was completed on January 18, 2101. The flag was rejected, as it was a disgrace to their legacy.

On May 7, 2112, during a nuclear fusion test, a mysterious portal opened up that sucked all the inhabitants of New Britannia in and spat out hundreds of shiny horses. These horses declared that New Britannia be renamed the Crystal Empire. The only remaining humans were foreigners from outside of New Britannia.

On May 18, 2112, Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor completed the restructuring of the Crystal Empire to match what they left behind back in Equestria.
