History: Zaraq is a nation created as a resistance to the now fully Houthi-controlled Yemen following a bloody civil war. The first president, Rashid Al-Fahmi, was elected for his influence and role in the resistance movement during the civil war. Zaraq is a testimony to the resilience, strength, and spirit of the people who opposed a totalitarian government. While being a very new country, Zaraq aims to establish good international relations, create an economic powerhouse, and serve as a nation for the good of the people.
