       The People's Republic of Island is a country that was founded on September 3, 2094 following the Icelandic Revolution and has an aim to become a truly equal society and meet the motto "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs". The PR of Island is currently undergoing a transition from a state capitalist economy to a planned economy using cybernetics to properly meet the needs of everyone.

       Valery Sablin was born on January 1, 2067 in St. Petersburg,  he immigrated to Iceland when he was 13 and since then became a sailor and studied political science. Sablin became disillusioned with the lack of adequate education so instead decided to study physics and self teach himself politics. He quickly along with others would form the Leftist Unity Revolutionary Party of Island (LURPI) or Vinstri Eining Byltingarflokkur Íslands (VEBI) with the aim of a Leftist Revolution in Island seeing this only possible with a popular front. Although being the leader of the People's Republic of Island, he holds major power but the democracy of Island is still being constructed and his power is very limited and mostly works as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and as Chief Admiral & builder of the Icelandic Navy.
        Additionally, he is an ethnic Russian, having moved to Iceland after his parents were assassinated by fascists in the Fascist Russian State. Having studied about the USSR and Leftist Theory, he became a Libertarian Socialist, believing this is the best way to have Socialism succeed and prepare societies for a Communist transition. His ability to aid in organizing a revolution at a young age is very impressive, providing insight into his abilities. Additionally, he is openly gay believing it wrong to lie about these facts if he is going to lead, loves the ocean & sailing, stargazing, and reading both fiction & non-fiction, although he prefers science fiction.

History: Following the Icelandic Revolution of 2094, taking place on Sep. 3 2094, the People’s Republic of Island was founded. While for a longtime it seemed impossible to fathom to most people due to most originally being fine with the status quo, a spreading of propaganda, showing the exploitation that allows for social democracy, and increased annoyance with the ruling class always lacking behind the masses, the seeds of revolution were ripe for a revolution. With socialism, communism, marxism, and even anarchism becoming increasingly popular, and so, on Sep. 3 2094, the people revolted against the ruling class. With mild casualties due to the absence of an Icelandic military, the revolution succeeded and was mostly complete by 10pm, and so the process began to reorganize Island into a socialist People’s Republic.
Rapid immigration began from all over the world, with only a short interview and background check needed for citizenship to be granted, this has resulted in economic degrowth and rapid building of apartment blocks to allow for all this new population to be allowed to live with all their needs met. The PR of Island has adopted a policy of granting refugees a safe haven to live and has voted on a policy of permitting offensive wars if needed to save people from persecution and/or exploitation.
The People’s Republic of Island is currently undergoing a massive political, economic, and social change that has the aim of preparing for full socialism and possibly communism if it is deemed viable. The People’s Republic of Island has currently been in the process of dismantling the Bourgeois Democracy of the past and implementing a Socialist Democracy to accurately represent the wishes of the people. The PR of Island is additionally currently developing the cybernetics to implement a successful planned economy but in the meantime is state capitalist to prevent horrible mistakes from occurring, but is aimed to completely transition to this planned economy by Sep. 3, 2099 five years after the revolution. There is currently a massive wave of immigration to Island and to prevent a loss of culture of both Icelandic and other peoples, linguists are currently working on creating an easy to learn con-lang. Additionally the PR of Island is currently aiming to create a completely equal and as best of a society as possible, that will meet the needs of all, with the leftist motto, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs".

Terrain: Iceland has extensive volcanic and geothermal activity. The rift associated with the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, which marks the division between the Eurasian Plate and North American tectonic plates, runs across Iceland from the southwest to the northeast. This geographic feature is prominent at the Þingvellir National Park, where the promontory creates an extraordinary natural amphitheatre. The site was the home of Iceland's parliament, the Alþing, which was first convened in 930. It is a common misconception that Þingvellir is at the juncture between the North American and Eurasian continental plates. However, they are in fact at the juncture of the North American continental plate and a smaller plate (approx. 10,000 km2) called the Hreppar Microplate (Hreppaflekinn). From 1963 to 1967, the island of Surtsey was created on the southwest coast by a volcanic eruption.

A geologically young land, Iceland is located on both the Iceland hotspot and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, which runs right through it. This location means that the island is highly geologically active with earthquakes and volcanoes, notably Hekla, Eldgjá, Herðubreið and Eldfell. Eyjafjallajökull (1,666 m) erupted in 2010, disrupting European air traffic. To demonstrate the geothermal activity, the Icelandic Meteorological Office said that during a single week in February 2021, around 17,000 earthquakes have hit the southwestern region of Reykjanes.

Iceland has many geysers, including Geysir, from which the English word geyser is derived. With the widespread availability of geothermal power, and the harnessing of many rivers and waterfalls for hydroelectricity, most residents have access to inexpensive hot water, heating, and electricity. The island is composed primarily of basalt, a low-silica lava associated with effusive volcanism as has occurred also in Hawaii.

Description: The People’s Republic of Island has a state capitalist economy currently in transition to a planned socialist economy using cybernetics. All foreign companies have had their industries seized, and are all in the stage of implementing worker democracy in them. While the process is expected to take a while, it has a deadline of being completed within the 5 year anniversary of the revolution on September 3, 2099. There has been a massive census done which includes where they work and in which field, to best organize people into their future work and with the work they would like. For instance those in history would move into history related jobs like museums, and those who are good with kids would go to schools, amusement parks, and things of the sort. While the process will not be done overnight, with the influx of immigration it is expected for Island to have a thriving and strong economy with a strong workforce.

The coal,iron, and lead that has been found has led to massive developments that have helped develop the Icelandic economy, pay for welfare, state-run companies to help people, & the massive housing developments, and to pay for the planned cybernetic run economy of the future. Additionally fishing is encouraged and permitted with most non-endangered fish and is able to be given to the state or eaten personally but not to be sold.
Military
History: The People’s Military of Island is a force that is composed entirely of volunteers (although conscription is encouraged). Following a popular vote on proposition 37 - The Military of Island shall be used in offensive wars/interventions if it is deemed necessary for humanitarian purposes for the inhabitants of the nation in question. - which passed with a 63.4% vote in favor in a popular vote with a 76.7% turnout. This resulted that if intelligence or information reveals that a nation is persecuting people of their nation on basis of gender, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, language, religion, political belief, or opinion, the nation of Island will intervene. Additionally if intelligence or information reveals exploitation of the people of the nation whether it being through any form of slavery (including wage slavery) or simple exploitation the nation of Island will also intervene. The form of intervention will be first carried out through the form of an air strike on the air force by the People’s Air Force of Island to secure air superiority and to survey the land, bombing of civilians and infrastructure is explicitly prohibited. If needed a naval battle using the People’s Navy of Island will follow to secure safe passage for the People’s Army to land and if not convoys protected by the People’s Navy will transport them. Once landed the People’s Army of Island will attempt to secure ground control, if successful tanks will be used to garrison critical points and the Army will begin the humanitarian work intervention and looting of the upper classes and capitalists. The People’s Army will help those persecuted and/or exploited and grant asylum to any who ask for it following a short interview, additionally the seeds for a left-wing revolution will be sowed. Once deemed complete, the asylum seekers will be transported and the looting of the rich will be used to benefit the people of Island.
To be assured the People’s Military acts as humanely as possible a political commissar will be assigned with a 1:15 ratio, informing people of the reason for their work and effort & being there to report any abuses of power which will be tried in court.
The People's Army of Island is represented by Major General Magnus Olafsson, age 37, who has Marxist-Leninist leanings, and among the heroes of the Icelandic Revolution of 2023. Additionally it is heavily influenced by the former Soviet Red Army and is aimed to be among the most humane army in the world, with purposeful harming of civilians resulting in an instant discharge from the army.
The People's Air Force of Island is led by Commander Freyja Johannsdottir, age 41, with Anarcho-Communist leanings, and hero of the Icelandic Revolution of 2023. One of the most fundamental parts in the formation of the air force was the explicit prohibition of bombings of civilians and infrastructure and being mainly used to secure air superiority and/or to provide reconnaissance.
The People's Navy of Island is led by Premier and Chief Admiral Valery Sablin himself, age 27, with Libertarian Socialist leanings, executor and hero of the Icelandic Revolution of 2023. Valery Sablin has personally been supervising and taking part in the formation of the Icelandic Navy, seeing it as a vital part to secure security and to be able to carry out work around the world.
