Present day history:
Qadjnia, a federal republic, was established in 1996 following the Qadjnian civil war. The dissolution of the Socialist Republic of Berenland in 1991 led to the granting of independence to several states, including Qadjnia, with its present-day borders. However, discontent among various ethnic groups residing within these borders culminated in the Qadjnian Civil War. Eventually, an agreement was reached, resulting in the formation of a federal republic. Since then, the Qadjnians, predominantly Muslim, and the Qadjnian Berenladians, who are mostly Christian, have maintained a strained relationship.
Past history:
Throughout history, the Qadjnians have endured conquests by multiple empires and nations, undergoing significant transitions. Their humble origins lie in the eastern Zañcaq mountain range. Initially, they lived under the dominion of the Slujian Empire, adhering to either Christianic or tribal religious beliefs.
However, pivotal changes occurred after the Islamic conquests of 1536. The Qadjnians embraced Islam and its associated traditions. Subsequently, during the Dark Knight Crusades, and the push back of the Muslim Arabs, the Qadjnians successfully resisted against them, pushing back the coalition of crusaders. Under the leadership of Sultan Eli Qajim, they established their first independent empire.
Over centuries, the Qadjnian empire experienced both prosperity and decline in power. Unfortunately, during the First Beren-Arabid War, it reached its nadir, resulting in complete takeover. In the aftermath, the Qadjnians navigated a complex path, leading up to the dissolution of the Socialist Republic of Berenland (SRB) and their present-day status.
