The Federal Republic of Yugarritia is a gargantuan, genial nation, ruled by Marcus Rivera with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, national health service, and ubiquitous missile silos. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic, cheerful population of 23.652 billion Yugarritians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of El Cabellal. The average income tax rate is 95.7%.

The frighteningly efficient Yugarritian economy, worth a remarkable 4,386 trillion Alfas a year, is quite specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Retail. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an impressive 185,469 Alfas, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Originally founded in May 2, 2012, in Nationstates (https://www.nationstates.net/nation=yugarritia), the Federal Republic of Yugarritia is my personal hobby. 

I haven't thought of an interesting history about the nation to put here since then.
