Brownmorgandy was founded when the forefathers of the Avari crossed a river into a land rich with game and timber. Initially birthed in a great bloodbath from which several tribal leaders emerged, the nation became more welcoming as it grew and was established. Finally, unified under Alejandro Cario, Brownmorgandy brought its policy of hardcore military conquest and expansion to a close and settled peacefully within its defined borders to focus on internal improvement and strategic alliances. Of course, when speaking of Brownmorgandy, one must always take the word "peacefully" with a grain of salt. In this case it simply means that the new central government stopped exterminating non-Avari occupants in the land.
In modern times, Cario Gabrik has led Brownmorgandy into a new era of global expansion of trade and participation in military alliances. The nation's people are richer than ever before, standards of living are higher, and the missiles hit harder, but these people are quite accustomed to using the bomb shelters when necessary. When attacked, they ask not for peace but to be allowed to hit back harder. The armed forces, in addition to being the leading cause of death among citizens ages 20 to 30 (that is why the average life expectancy is so low) are revered in Brownmorgandy. The military forces not only defend their homeland, but their allies and foreign interests. A significant number of deaths result from nuclear and conventional missiles striking Brownmorgan soil combined with the large numbers of troops deployed overseas. Leaders work to remedy this problem by exploring safer or unmanned options for dangerous missions.
Brownmorgandy also provides exceptional maternity healthcare and free childcare to all women enlisted in the military, and encourages early marriage, as young as 18. This is done solely with the intention of maintaining population growth, but plenty of couples and families are the happier for it anyway.
The command structure of the military involves a group of three High Commanders who are the go-betweens for the military and the Government.
