The People's Republic of Laspouria is a Communist Republic currently lead by Chairman Meyrov and the Communist Party of Laspouria. 

The main legislative body is a People's Congress where party members can propose and vote on bills. 

The official currency of Laspouria is the Divnar, which is pegged to the Orbis Dollar at a 1:1 ratio.

Unions are mandatory in all industries. The people are strongest united!

Industrialization is important, but so is protecting Laspouria's natural resources. The world is our home, and we must protect it. 

The national animal of Laspouria is the dog, as our enemies have often called us “Communist Dogs.” We have turned their snide derision into another example of hard work and love for the People!

The national flower of Laspouria is the red rose, taken from the socialist slogan, "We want bread, and roses too!"

Located in northern central Europe, Laspouria can have very cold winters and moderate summers. Skiing is a popular pastime in the winter, and in the summer the beaches along the northern coast are a wonderful place to visit.

Laspourian citizens are obligated to wear special pins on their clothing to show loyalty to the country and the Party. The pins differ in design depending of if the individual is a Party member, a non-member, or a youth member of the Red Guards.

Below, the pins for Party members, non-members, and Red Guards, respectively.

The Red Guards are a scouting organization for Laspourian youth, comparable to the Young Pioneers of other countries. Their symbol is a Red Star illuminating a book, as the Red Guards illuminate their own minds and carry on the revolution in their daily lives. 

Their official uniform consists of an olive green Mao tunic with red patches on the collar, sturdy trousers of the same color, an olive green cap with a Red Star, and their ever-distinctive red neckerchief. Each Guard is also issued a sturdy messenger bag which they can use to carry things on hikes or in their daily lives. Patches indicating achievements can be sewn onto a special sash for formal events, and rank is indicated by a patch sewn onto the left chest pocket. Other patches for honors can be sewn directly onto the uniform as well, depending on the patch in question.

The Red Guards are for boys and girls aged eight to seventeen. At age eighteen, they age out as an adult, and are expected to carry the lessons they learned onward.

The swallowtail in their flag is representative of the red neckerchief, as if the neckerchief was cut out of the flag itself.

The armed forces of Laspouria are known as the People's Red Army. They defend the citizens of Laspouria and advance the cause of socialism!
