The Federal Republic of Pacifica is a nation founded on federalist, democratic-republican, Hispanic-American, religious and revolutionary ideals. The main goal of the Pacifico revolution (La Revolución Pacificana) was to bring about a stable government, and a society based on ideas of law and order, opportunity, and most importantly, liberty and equality. The Constitution of Pacifica establishes these values, and is greatly appreciated by the citizens of the Republic. 
 

Government:

The Federal Republic of Pacifica’s federal government is intended as the glue that keeps the Republic united. The constitution also gives rights to states to govern themselves. The federal government only focuses on foreign affairs, defense and security, national and global economics, and interstate disputes. 
 

Legislature: 

The Federal Congress makes federal laws, and is bicameral  

Federal Senate: Upper chamber comprised of 3 senators per state  

Federal Assembly: Lower house comprised of 1 delegate per 50,000 citizens per state, and 1 delegate per territory  

Executive:

The President, along with the President’s Cabinet, enforce laws passed by the Federal Congress.  The President’s Cabinet is selected by the President and approved by the Federal Congress.

Judiciary:

The Supreme Court of Pacifica interprets legislation passed by the Federal Congress, and determines its constitutionality.  It contains 13 members appointed by the President, approved by the Federal Congress, and confirmed by vote of the citizens.  Members can serve up to 25 years.

Subdivisions:

Pacifica is divided into states and territories, each with their own, separate government that mirrors that of the federal government.  Territories are less autonomous than states, as their governments are subject to the approval of the Federal Congress.  While the Distrito Federal is the seat of the federal governnent, it has the same rights as other states.
