The history of Aristonia as a culture can be traced back all the way to at least 1000 BC. Starting out in Ancient history, we were an agrarian Celtic tribe known as the “Aristii” that settled near the Valagrás river. The ancient culture was known for its pottery, metallurgy, carvings and logographic language. Then, the Roman Empire conquered us in the first century AD. Latin became predominantly mixed into the language. After Rome fell in the mid-5th century, the situation became a little complicated for the now scattered tribes of Aristii celts that were once ruled by the Romans. Now that Latin had a majority influence on the Aristonian language, an increase in science and philosophy had emerged. New poets and inventors began to make a name for themselves and give rise to Aristonia’s recognition. Up until this point, the Aristii land had not yet had a capital of most important city. The people decided that in order to have structure and balance, there must be a ruler, and a great city to rule over. This sparked what is known as the greatest moment in Aristonian history: the Coronation of the first King of Aristonia: King Christian I. Christian brought what would be considered as a Renaissance in the history of Aristonia. The date he was coronated was stated as November 19, 1350. He decided that he needed a capital of Aristonia. The capital city he chose for Aristonia was the great city named “Isevna”, which meant “The city that God protects”. He greatly improved the infrastructure by developing roads, improving quality of life in every town and city, and improving the multiple industries that benefited the growing economy at the time. This was considered the greatest time period to live in Aristonia. After Christian’s reign came and went, the positive effects of his rule were still felt. The economy thrived, people were happy and everyone was joyous with life in the kingdom. However, at this point, it has just turned to be the 1700’s. Technology developed at an even more rapid pace, and Aristonia had the keep up and excel, no matter the cost. So they acquired gunpowder, cannons and better equipment. Fortifications became the strongest they could. Aristonia went from a developing tribe in the heavily forested lands of Western Europe to a growing power in the group of Europe’s well known countries. At this time, Aristonia was always acquiring new land from the wars it had been in, however the kingdom was not that of a warmonger. The wars only occurred if they were deserved or justified, only against those who had wronged the world and disrupted world peace. Now, the Industrial Revolution of Aristonia had just begun. People saw the use of machines in everyday life, and they took advantage of this beneficial prospect. The industries that were already developed over hundreds of years now became even more powerful. Along with this came a large increase in military power, it seemed that Aristonia was getting stronger decade by decade. The industrial era was one of great technological achievements, great writers, thinkers and scientists. The greatest writer that came from Aristonia in this era was a man named Enriço Valadrés, a well known writer who inspired many through his great works on the topics of morality, life and history. This man was considered Aristonia’s first celebrity. After the industrial revolution, and into the 20th century, Aristonia faced both World War 1 and World War 2. Aristonia chose not the meddle in these wars for fear of great economic disaster because of the toll the war would take on the people. It was because of this choice to not interfere that Aristonia prospered even further. Now, it is the era of modern technology, the 1970’s to 1990’s. Aristonia finally developed more advanced forms of communication. The people now had quality phones, and then developed computers. The music also changed from majority traditional folk music to now modern pop and rock, all sung in the Aristonian language. Aristonia embraced the arrival of the 21st century with new hope and new aspirations to become even greater. People were still extremely happy to live here, and Aristonia is now a popular country for tourists to go to, being ranked as one of the top 10 friendliest countries in the world. To this day, Aristonia is still a Monarchy, however the King is not influencing the country as much as before. The country is still ruled by the descendants of King Christian I. Now, it is 2023 A.D, things are going well for this country with history as ancient as it’s people are determined. This is the history of Aristonia. Who knows what the future will bring? |
