History: | The Age of the Mughals: The name Mughal or Moghul is a corruption of the Persian word for Mongol, the Central Asian tribe after whom Mongolia is named. The Mughals originated in Central Asia, and were descended from the Mongol ruler Jenghiz Khan and Timur (Tamburlaine), the great conqueror of Asia. They were immensely proud of their pedigree, and it was the memory of Timur's raids on India in the fourteenth century that spurred Babur on to make his dreams come true and to establish an empire for the people. The great cities built by the Mughal emperors at Delhi, Agra and Lahore still retain something of the magnificence that was associated with the Mughal dynasty during the seventeenth century. After seventeenth century, the Great Mughal Empire collapsed due betrayal of important position holders of emperor's court. Then British came and looted the land & people for more than a century, that caused millions of citizens to live in extreme poverty. After getting independence from foreign forces the land of Hind became republic but could not survive even for a century. When a descendant of Mughals realised greatness of his ancestors and tried to revive the collapsed state, after several failed attempts he successfully established The Great Mughal Sultanate. Since then he rules the sultanate & work for the people. |
