History: During the 2040s, communism in Poland was beginning to become a nationwide movement and gained support from all over the country. Tensions were rising substantially and the democratic Polish government was in fear of losing its national sovereignty. Led by Jarek Nowtriwski, a communist military coup broke out in 2051. Poland was able to defeat the rebels in only less than a month with assistance from its anti-communist ally, the United States. For capital punishment, the U.S. insisted on importing the imprisoned rebels into its borders. Poland was furious at the communists and viewed them as traitors to the country. As a result, Poland sent ships destined for the United States through the English Channel. The ships had docked in the United Kingdom for a fuel resupply, however, the ships' crew left the prisoners unattended and they managed to escape. The prisoners used their communist determination to swim across the English Channel and landed at the Netherlands. Filled with rage, they massacred the inhabitants of Rotterdam and spared anyone who would join their regime. Luckily, Britain desired a monopoly over the English Channel and became fed up with having to share with the Netherlands. This made the Brits have no problem with encouraging Dutch internal conflicts and supported the communists through lend-leasing and providing military aid. With pure communist might and assistance from their new ally in the north, the revolutionaries defended their town from the Dutch for months on end. Until eventually, on June 10th, 2052, the Dutch government had ceded the town of Rotterdam to the communists. The town was renamed to Catowicz, the new nation's capital. The Rolandia Republic had been born.
Wanting to sanctify the lands of Dutch people and display superiority, the Rolandian government ordered to deport all known Dutch inhabitants and import any Poles who support the regime. Due to supporting the communist uprising, Britain and Rolandia remain on good terms and view each other as strong trade and economic partners.
