 Circassia is a country and region in the North Caucasus along the northeast shore of the Black sea It is the homeland of the Circassian people. It was destroyed after the Russian-Circassian war (1763–1864), but now It has been recreated by Emir Anas Kadkoy.

 The term "Circassian" includes the twelve historic Adyghe tribes of Circassia; Abdzakh, Besleney, Bzhedugh, Hatuqwai, Kabardey, Mamkhegh, Natukhaj, Shapsugh, Chemguy, Ubykh, Yegeruqwai and Zhaney, each star on the Circassian flag representing one tribe.
