Economically, The Republic of Agara favors left wing policies. The official currency of The Republic of Agara is the Rand. At 1,445 days old, The Republic of Agara is an ancient nation. Pollution in the nation is almost non-existent. The citizens' faith in the government is seriously lacking with an approval rating of 23.6641%.

Once we Sifaka were a simple nation comprised mostly of farmers. Opportunity struck when the oil fields were discovered. Seizing the opportunity our troop paid for the rigs to be put up, only to watch in dismay as the money all went to the elite Ring Tails of southern Madagascar while those of us who could not afford to “move it, move it” were left to squalor in poverty. We refused such injustices and after much sacrifice were able to break free from King Julien's grasp. Now the oil fields, and all other things in our lands and seas, are ours and ours alone.

As each day passes our borders creep closer and closer to those of the southern kingdom. Whether Julien kneels before us or falls before us will be his choice entirely, but one way or another we will rise above him.

History: While founded May 12, 2020 this nation has been forming since 2012. Julien had ruled us with a clear disregard and seeming contempt, keeping us in poverty while he and the ringtails collected the riches. This had long been our fate, but we had been born poor so what difference was it?
That changed when the oil fields were found. We paid for their construction from our own pockets expecting to reap the profits, but no. No, Julien stepped in and took all the profits down south.
When this occurred we could no longer accept our lot in life. We were not ceded everything, nor did everyone who fought wind up in our nation, and Julien still stands, but we have gotten our start.
Geography
Continent: Africa
Land Area: 149,467.45 sq. km
Terrain: This section of land is largely mountainous, even our coastline is relatively rocky. It limits what we can do with trade and with our navy, but we've made due. Along the edge of the southern border is Maromokotro, the tallest mountain in this continent's entirety. Some old Harsis tales place it as the home of an eagle god, but no lemur has been so fortunate as to return from their climb.

Climate: With the ocean moderating us, temperatures across all of Madagascar are consistently within the 70 degree range. In our part of Madagascar rainfall is the deciding factor. Most of it is a relatively dry tropical savannah, a bit of it is seasonal monsoon with times of heavy rains followed by long droughts, and a tiny sliver of it is a tropical rainforest.

Economy
Description: Our economy is usually driven by the export of gasoline. Banking is sometimes a strong sector as well, but has not proven itself consistent enough to lean on. We inherited an abysmally weak economy when we gained independence and while we have worked to improve it we are still very much vulnerable to downswings.
A more diverse economy would be wonderful, but we are not yet in a position to develop one.

Industries: Oil drilling and oil refining are the most important industries we have. Some try to produce food, but without any major rivers their efforts have not been productive. Banking comes and goes but is productive when it's around.
Tourism is not something we attempt to have. The parties and beautiful homes are in the south with Julien. Regardless of our efforts that is where tourists will go.
Military
History: The military, really, has been around longer than the government. I started leading them in 2018 though operations first started in 2012. Back then we were just soldiers, not even a tank to our name. With our nation now developed we hold all three divisions: Dhoga, Kuwiti, and Piscera.
Now we keep ourselves at the ready should Julien decide to try taking this land back, or should anyone else try I suppose.
