Ianco was founded on December 26th, 2019, by Lord Ian The Great, a military general who staged a coup against the previous government in the small African country where Ianco is now located. Lord Ian declared himself the supreme leader of the new nation, establishing a dictatorship with himself as the sole ruler.

In the early days of Ianco, Lord Ian focused on consolidating his power and establishing control over the government and military. He implemented strict censorship and surveillance policies to prevent dissent and suppress any opposition to his rule. The social policies of Ianco were relatively moderate, with limited freedoms and rights for its citizens.

Economically, Lord Ian favored far-left wing policies and implemented a series of reforms aimed at nationalizing key industries and redistributing wealth to the population. The official currency of Ianco became the Mexican Peso due to a trade agreement with Mexico. Mexico influenced a significant amount of Ianco's development and see each other as close allies, some would say as close as family. 

Over the years, Ianco became a heavily centralized state with an elaborate security apparatus to maintain order and prevent any challenges to Lord Ian's rule. Despite its large population, the country's land area remained relatively small, leading to a high population density.

Pollution in Ianco was almost non existent due to the government's strict environmental regulations, which were enforced by the powerful security forces. However, the citizens' faith in the government was completely depleted with an approval rating of 0%, as they had no say in how their country was governed.

As Ianco continued to exist under the dictatorship of Lord Ian, the international community increasingly criticized the government's oppressive policies and lack of democratic institutions. However, Lord Ian remained unresponsive to these criticisms and instead continued to tighten his grip on power.

Despite the lack of political freedoms, Ianco experienced economic growth under Lord Ian's far-left economic policies. Nationalization of key industries, along with other government interventions, led to significant job creation and economic development. However, the benefits of this growth were not evenly distributed, as Lord Ian and his inner circle maintained control over the country's wealth.

In 2021, a devastating drought hit Ianco, leading to widespread famine and a sharp decline in economic growth. The government responded by increasing state control over food distribution, further consolidating its power over the population.

As the international community continued to pressure Ianco to democratize and respect human rights, Lord Ian responded with increasing hostility. The government became more aggressive in its censorship and surveillance of the population, and opposition to the regime became increasingly risky.

In 2022, a group of opposition leaders attempted to stage a coup against Lord Ian's government, but the attempt was quickly crushed by the powerful security forces. The government responded with mass arrests and executions of those involved in the plot, further solidifying its grip on power.

As Ianco approached its fourth anniversary, the country remained under the strict control of Lord Ian and his regime, with no signs of democratization or improved human rights. The future of Ianco remained uncertain, as the international community continued to condemn the government's oppressive policies, but had few options for intervening in the country's internal affairs.

The Ianco Storm baseball team was founded in 2019, shortly after the nation of Ianco was established by its current leader, Ian The Great. As a government-controlled team, the Ianco Storm has always had close ties with the nation's political leadership. It has been known to support their views on social and economic policy.

Since their inception, the Ianco Storm have dominated their league, winning multiple championships and consistently ranking near the top of the standings. They are known for their aggressive style of play, with a focus on speed and athleticism, and their willingness to take risks to secure victories.

While the Ianco Storm have faced criticism from some quarters for their close ties to the government, they have always maintained that their primary focus is on baseball and that they are committed to providing a high level of entertainment to their fans.
