Emperor Jones has called an emergency council session to discuss the Uyghur crisis in China, as well as other issues relating to Djonian foreign policy on the country.

The four councils are meeting today after message arrived from the palace that Emperor Jones was declaring an emergency session of council. This decision comes shortly after news first reached Djonia that Uyghurs in Chinese concentration camps were being forced to pick cotton. Djonian humanitarian groups have long been calling on the palace to speak out against China for its cruelty against the Muslim minority in Western China, but for the sake of diplomacy the most action taken thus far has been minor sanctions.

However, with more information being obtained daily of just how far China is willing to go in their pursuit of 'counter-terrorism' it would seem that the Emperor has finally had enough.

Jones I released a press statement earlier today voicing his ire towards China. He compared Chinese president Xi Jinping to an American civil war era plantation owner.

"The atrocities being committed in China is enough to make my skin crawl! What Xi Jinping is doing is nothing less than slavery combined with mass murder; all that he's missing is a white suit, grey goatee, and southern American accent! We will be discussing how to approach this issue in a more diplomatic, but stern, manner."

He also hinted at approaching the UN to formally decry China, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Other topics expected to be addressed is the issue of China's treatment of Tibetans, a potential diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games, renewed protocol on diplomatic engagements with Taiwan, a possible expeditionary deployment of the Grand Navy and Sentinel Guard to patrol the South China Sea alongside the US navy, and new COVID-19 regulations.
